In the Deed the Glory
Seisay will be a starter, I would imagine Fisher's spot will be no longer his after about the 4th week as Zaire Anderson/David Santos will probably take it from him. Evans is the starting nickel back from what I have read. Evans will start as nickel, but wouldnt be shocked if Charles jackson took that spot by the time confrence play comes around. I could see that happening and would welcome that if he is physical enough to play that spot. Amazing how much we missed Eric Hagg last year. Quote Link to comment

Hagg as Peso Yep, and that is essentially what the nickel spot is now in the B1G since we don't use the Peso as much. I am beginning to think we only had the Peso to get Hagg on the field and wonder if we will ever have another player that can play that spot like he did. Special player, Mr. Hagg. You know who was way better? Dejon Gomes. Quote Link to comment
In the Deed the Glory
Gomes was not better at the Peso than Hagg. Wasn't as good against the run or as sure of a tackler. He was great at his spot, however. That secondary was special, probably the best we've ever had at NU. Quote Link to comment
NebraskaHarry
I'm not sold on Fischer. The guy is smart, but from the time he's been here he's not a huge play maker. I'd like to see Santos or even Rose step up into his role. With that said, if Fischer proves me wrong I'd be happy to admit I'm wrong. Quote Link to comment
The Dude
What worries me is the prospect of Fisher playing while a vastly superior player is on the bench. Like Lavonte David would have been had fisher not been injured. He might know the defense better than the other guys, but I have a hard time believing he's going to contribute in any positive way. It's time to get someone else ready for the future. Quote Link to comment

It still cracks me up thinking of when Lavonte would make 500 tackles in one game and in the presser Pelini would talk about how out of position he was. Quote Link to comment

deedsker
I think we will see some of Zaire Anderson in there as well. Quote Link to comment

Treand3
I hope Fisher is much improved, but I still question his mobility due to his leg injury. He was frankly painful to watch at times last year. I stand by the premise that if Zaire and David can make moves on the depth chart, our LBs will be good to go. Quote Link to comment
bshirt
I just can't believe Caveman won't be the starter. We want Pressure? Get him on the field. Quote Link to comment

This is my thought a lot of the time too, but Cam has one DE position locked down, and there has been a lot of praise thrown the direction of Jason Ankrah, so I don't know what to think... I'm taking the wait-and-see approach. Last year, however, that is exactly what I wanted. Quote Link to comment
