gratefullred
I didn't see many changes. I saw Zaire and he had a good game. I was hoping to see more DT's, but only saw Bake, Williamson, and Thad. I didnt see any of them playing poorly. Saw new faces at corner Siesay and Jean-Baptiste. I didnt see a 3-4, didnt espect to. Looked like the same old D to me. I would like to see more attacking, less containing. That aint happening. What grade do you give the D? You think it will look diferent come B1G play? Comish
Anytime your D gives up zero touchdowns..........it's a good day! B+ Quote Link to comment
The Dude
The D. One of my favorite bands. 3 Quote Link to comment
Haspula
Didnt see any Avery Moss out there. Really liked Zaire out there, same with Seisay. Seisay should be a starter in a couple of weeks Quote Link to comment
Brouhaha
I give us a solid B+. That was an extremely offense that we didn't let score a touchdown.. Quote Link to comment
billdozer15
They looked great..........except the team they were playing didnt have a pulse. We have seen this year in and year out, look great agianst inferior competition and the second we play a decent team we either eek out a win or lose due to bonehead mistakes. Not too excited about this team so far. Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
I'll say B- Liked seeing some of the new guys, and they played with a little passion today. PJ had a good game, Stafford had a some good solid hits, Evans played pretty good, Zaire, Martin, etc. But there are still some things that really need to be worked on. Overall, it was a vastly improved performance over last weeks Quote Link to comment
grandpasknee
I still saw a few whiffs today, which is always frustrating and concerning. However, I also saw lots of player "finishing" the play..where the ball carrier wound up with 3 -5 people pounding him rather than 1 or 2. Also, saw a lot of team fire after good plays, which has been somewhat missing. (Players slapping helmets, chest bumping, etc) I like that sign. Quote Link to comment
Blackshirtsguru
Overall the D improved from last week but let's not get all warm and fuzzy just yet. We still have a ton of football left and I do believe this is just the beginning of yet another roller coaster season. Quote Link to comment
FriendlyLurker2007
they tackled better...hopefully they can keep it up. i dont think anyone expects this to be a stellar defense (hopefully they become that) but with the offense we are fielding this gives a good chance at every game for a win, if they keep it up Quote Link to comment

EbylHusker
I'm willing to believe UCLA was a bit of an anomaly. They played well, but I really hope our defense will not play that poorly all season. If they do, we're screwed. The defense appeared much stronger today. More energy for the most part, better fundamentals, etc. I know Ark St isn't the sh#t, but their offense is still pretty decent. I think this was a definite step up and a positive sign for the defense. Quote Link to comment

The Dude
There were times we lined up with a 3 man front, but we've seen that from time to time over the last few years. I don't really expect to see wholesale change. Quote Link to comment
