This is Nebraska marketing Nebraska.... Welcome to the 21st century gentlemen.... This is smart, futuristic, and innovative. I love what Nebraska is doing with the uniforms (for one game), the recruiting weekend, the marketing. In my opinion they are handling this all very well, and if we win it could become a very benefiicial weekend for the football team....

It seems pretty cool right now but it is going to look sooooo stupid a few years from now. Imagine going back and looking at some Husker games from the mid 2000's and seeing the Husker myspace addy on the field.

I'll come out and say it:

 

If anybody has more of a problem with this being put on the field than a small frown and grunt, then they take things way too seriously. It's just a field. It's just turf. From what I understand, it is getting replaced next season anyways. The team will play the same, the stadium will look the same, and the world will spin the same whether the hashtag twitter thingamajig is painted on the field or not.

I don't mind having it on the field but put on the sideline. It gets seen all the same. Could be worse, we could have gone the #HAILSTATE route.

Glad to hear the turf is up for replacement.... from the games I've watched on TV this year, it looks rather worn.

 

I'd suggest throwing the alternating color gimmick out the window and just do the whole thing in the darker green.

this is really bizarre. if it just said 'huskers', no one would care. but just because there is a hashtag in front of it so many think it is lame and we are trying too hard.
