Winning out?

Recommended Posts

Have we ever won six in a row with Bo. You historians are better at that than me, but I do not think so. Bo will figure a way to lose at least one, but highly likely we lose to Michigan, Michigan State possilby Northwestern. I think the rest of the season hinges on Northwestern, if we lose that game, the wheels are going to come off, after all this crap talk about changing, buying in, getting on the same page, we will overcome coach speak that has been going on.

We're 10x more likely to lose to Northwestern than Michigan State. I'd be shocked if we lose that game.

As would I. MSU and Iowa play right into this defenses strengths, pro style offenses with less than mobile QBs.

Actually MSU is the game I can see us dropping. I really can see us winning against NW and Meechicken. Then being on somewhat if a high and losing at East Lansing. For no other reason than we shouldn't lose to them.

How so? MSU has zero offensive threats outside of Leveon Bell, and he's getting beat up. They just benched their #1 receiver, and they struggle scoring points at all. They have quite posible the slowest team speed on offense in the entire Big Ten. They're 4-3, and could easily be 2-5. Even the vaunted defense isn't so hot, and they aren't getting to the QB.

Of course, I said all this in August when the talking heads were saying 11-1 for MSU.

I wasn't on the MSU bandwagon at all at the start of the season....

I think if we lose one more game, regardless of what it is, this board will go full apesh*t...

Yeah, actually I have watch all of our games. Every snap. I said for no other reason than we shouldn't lose to them. I didn't say we would lose I said I could see us losing. Big Difference

We lost to NW last year by 3 and played absolutely terrible. If we play that terrible again we may lose, but I really don't think that is going to happen. It sounds like you and quite a few other people think Denard Robinson is a combination of Boo Radly, Chuck Norris, and Bill Bransky all rolled into won. He is a great player but is also very streaky. If you haven't noticed he doesn't usually have his best games on the road.

Why Penn St. more than MSU? They are playing pretty good offense but there defense isn't anything special. You saying that Penn St. is a threat is no more compelling than me saying MSU. At least Sparty is on the road.

Actually MSU is the game I can see us dropping.

Your stating a loss, there is no difference. I also asked if you watched a single MSU snap, not ours.

Comparing PSU and MSU as equal? Seriously? Like Seriously? The only thing you can say is equal of the two, is defense. You obviously don't watch the games. MSU has NO OFFENSE. Matt McGloin is probably the BEST QB in B1G play right now. He makes great decisions, might not be the "best" runner, but he knows when to run and protect. He has the best accuracy and a hell of an arm. I am completely baffled you would even state their defense isn't anything special.

As for saying Dennard is whatever you tried to say, he is a play maker, simple as that. I never stated we would lose, but them and PSU are our two big games left this year.

I am not exactly sure why you are getting so bent out of shape. I said I could see them losing to MSU for no other reason than if they win the 2 games before they might not be ready to play.

I wasn't trying to say anything about Robinson what I said is a complete fact that he is a streaky player and he doesn't play as well on the road. His 2 worst games this yeart were on the road, and they lost both games. He threw how many interceptions against ND? I think it was 5. Last year Michigan lost 2 games both on the road and DR played terrible. I am not making this up or anything. Those things are facts. Yes he is playmaker, but he has also played really bad in some games in his life.

I am entitled to think that they can lose to MSU for no other reason than they play poorly. Just as you are entitled to your own opinion. I have watched MSU play a lot this year and I have watched Penn St. play. They are playing better and McGloin is playing pretty well, but I think Braxton Miller might have something to say about the best QB in the conference.

I guess I don't understand why you are turning this into some sort of a pissing match.

Ive said this all along about Robinson. The guy is a turnover machine waiting to happen. Last years game was a gift by us. So similar to the Ohio St game. We were in it at halftime, come out, fumble the kickoff, score. Get the ball back, another fumble if I recall, score. Game over. then we start to get back in it and get a bad call. Score. Dun. Robinson was not as glorious against us last year as people want to say in order to support their opinions about how bad our defense is (though it is pretty porous right now). Robinson is not half the quarterback as Martinez. MAYBE a better athlete and/or football player, but legitimate quarterback, no. But there is one little nugget that is kind of scary is that over the last couple games Michigan has seemed content with saying to hell with the square peg in a round hole crap of making Dennard a pocket qb, and just setting him loose with his legs. A'la Braxton Miller in the 2nd quarter, so we'll see.

Perfectly said. Dennard is scary on the ground. He fumbles as well, but his throwing is horrid, and that is the only time I see us really getting a turnover. We have to do everything we can, to make them one dimensional, which isn't easy. We tried against OSU, did very well first quarter, but fell flat with 6 straight scoring drives. We need to force him to throw and take advantage of him through the air, where his true weakness lies. Dennard isn't what most think he is, but I would have to say, he is dangerous with his feet, and if you have one missed tackle, you might as well make it a first down or a TD.

Pissing match? I am just stating facts on things you are stating. Didn't know that was a pissing match. Your stating MSU is better than PSU, I disagreed and gave my reasons. MSU is 0-2 in Big 10 play, while PSU is 2-0. MSU lost to a decent OSU and a talentless Iowa (besides Weisman) team. PSU beat a worn down, weak Illinois team and a good Northwestern team. The record speaks for itself.

4 at the end of 2008, first 2 in 2009. Count it if you want, or not. Plenty of 4 and 5 game runs, and I haven't seen the wheels come off one of Bo's teams yet.

1 at end of '09, first 5 of '10. Oops. Sorry. Guess it's happened twice. Guess that arguments been totally shat on.

Nick I think you better go back and read my post never said MSU was betterthan PSU. Never said it. All I said was that I can see them losing to MSU, I stated my reasoning. I don't care if you think PSU is better than Michigan St., I don't care that you think Matt McGloin is the best Qb in the big 10, because frankly I think Nebraska is better than both of those teams. That doesn't mean they will beat either team though. I think NU is better than NW, but it doesn't mean they will win.

The only facts that have been stated so far are that Dennard Robinson doesn't play as well on the road as he does at home. The statistics do bare this out. The other facts are that MSU is 0-2 and PSU is 2-0 in conference play. Other than that everything has been opinion.

I could see us losing @ East Lansing. Especially if we win the next two. That sets up for a classic Pelini letdown week. I moreso see that happening against Penn St. however.

Account that is the only point I have been trying to make. I guess I like our chances against PSU better because it is at home.
