Mixed feelings here.

 

I love the idea because of the historical value, but as others point out, it will mean little to the players, unless both teams are highly ranked.

 

For the fans though, the old geezers, it will be a cool game. Somehow, I suspect we end up paired with the Sooners in a bowl game before 2021, which might steal some thunder from the 50th anniversary game.

Technically, we would be considered the "old fogies" by the younger generation. Not yet the "Blue Hairs", but heck we'll get looks when we come in with our hard driving rock and roll blaring.
