Thanks_Tom RR
Sounds like this kid is pretty solid to Stanford, but watching him tonight he looks like a perfect fit for what we're looking to do in our offense. Obviously Stanford is in a great place right now (and the academics are a given), but it seems like with his versatility out of the backfield and his (relative) lack of size and power - at least compared to Stepfan Taylor/Toby Gerhart - he would be a much better fit in a spread-type offense like we run than than the 2 TE/1 FB power game that Stanford favors. I know he showed some early interest in us - does anyone see a scenario where we get him on campus for an OV? Cue the Lloyd Christmas Gif... Quote Link to comment
Warrior10
Was watching the link posted in Eric Lee's profile to see how Lee looked and after watching one drive thought "who is this RB, maybe we should go after him"....then I heard his name. Dang he is good. Quote Link to comment
CMT1525
I don't mean this in a bad way but madre London isn't in the same breath as mccaffrey 1 Quote Link to comment
Army_Allen
I think if we have a great season (1 loss max reg season), we will get a look from him. I wanna at least get a prospect this close to us on campus. Quote Link to comment

Doubtful I agree, the legacy angle really makes me think this is a longshot, but the thing that gets me is that he just doesn't really fit the system they want to run. What if Shaw leaves for the NFL (yes I know he is a legacy there too...ugh!) and we finish with one loss, go to the Rose Bowl, and beat Stanford by a couple TDs? ( ) Might be a bit late for an optimal visit at that point without a game day for him to see, but stranger things have happened. Quote Link to comment

We've lost out on a few legacy recruits recently, it's about time we do the same to others. Quote Link to comment

Army_Allen
Chans Cox and Minter (Minter is a special case though). Quote Link to comment
EZ-E
Chans Cox and Minter (Minter is a special case though). So is Cox. We didn't offer him right away and I'm not too sure as to how much interest was there. Quote Link to comment
TonyStalloni
It is hard to blame Chan Cox for not having high interest in Nebraska. He wasn't born here and his dad didn't play here. His grandfather did but grandparents have little sway over grandchildren's college decisions. On another note it would be great if McCaffrey showed enough interest to visit. Quote Link to comment

Army_Allen
I think so but scouts seemed to really like him. I mean I take their word for it but TE/FB woulda been a waste of his talent here. But on topic, I still think there's a window of opportunity here if we play well. Quote Link to comment
NoLongerN
Rumor has it he is disgruntled about playing time at Stanford and wants to transfer to ! Um, well ... I'm dreaming that. 1 Quote Link to comment
TonyStalloni
I think we could probably find room for him if we absolutely had to. Quote Link to comment
