Landlord
Can we get a pinned and locked thread title 2013 HuskerBoard Line-Up and in it the members who were selected for a particular position? It's early on but I suspect after a few more player positions, we're going to have a hard time keeping up with who is who Hmmm....you mean like the thread you just posted in? 1 Link to comment

knapplc
So, is anyone using the "regular" avatar, or is the common opinion that the ALT avatar is cooler? I'm really liking the referee avatars, but when a bunch of mods post in the same thread (like in the Mod forum, for example), it looks like a gathering of convicts. Link to comment

I started with the alternate, but I'm thinking I'll switch it up every week or every two weeks in an attempt to confuse people Link to comment
huskeraddict
You should only be able to wear the alternate for one post per season Link to comment
knapplc
Some stats from the past three years, in response to a question in one of the nomination threads... People nominated the most, but not elected to a position. Year - # - Member 2012 - 9 - C N Red 2010 - 6 - Kansas Husker 2010 - 4 - Enhance89 2010 - 4 - Nexus 2010 - 3 - borNred 2010 - 3 - dizzturbedNUfan 2010 - 3 - DJR313 2010 - 3 - Husker 37 2010 - 3 - HuskerRob 2010 - 3 - killer cacti 2010 - 3 - papersun87 2010 - 3 - zoogies 2011 - 3 - holvy83 2012 - 3 - corncraze 2012 - 3 - sheepdogmark 2012 - 3 - skersfan 37 people have been nominated twice but not elected to a position in the last three years. 78 people have been nominated once and not elected. 2010 saw the most people nominated but not seconded, with 10 people not getting seconds. That number has dropped drastically in the past two years as I've begun listing people who haven't yet been seconded in threads on the last day of nominations. 2011 saw only 4 people go unseconded, while 2012 saw only 2. 2010 saw the most individuals nominated with 90 unique nominations. 2010 also had the most total nominations at 194. 2011 saw participation drop, with only 65 unique nominations for the whole process of the Starting Lineup. There were only 109 total nominations in 2011. 2012 saw nominations pick up; we had 83 unique nominations and 150 total nominations. That's about it for stats for today. I'll update this when we finish up this year. 3 Link to comment

knapplc
Not sure if this is interesting to anyone but me, but the 15 nominations for Head Coach this year are the most nominations for any Starting Lineup position, ever. The previous record-holder was 13 nominations for Linebacker, set in the first year of the Starting Lineup (2010). While I'm throwing out stats, this record lasted less than a week. We had 16 nominations for the Fullback position. There were only 15 people on the voting ballot, though - Landlord had already secured a Running Back position before he could be voted on for FB. Sixteen nominations for Fullback is exceedingly high. In years past we've had far fewer: 2010 - 8 2011 - 4 2012 - 5 2013 - 16 That's a huge jump. Link to comment

knapplc
Another interesting stat to chew on: We have already surpassed last year's total nomination number, with five rounds (11 positions) yet to be nominated. The most nominations ever was in 2010 (194), but we're set to eclipse that pretty easily this year. Through this point, roughly 2/3 of the way through the Starting Lineup, we've had 164 nominations. That's 14 more than we had last year, and 55 more than we had for all of 2011. Link to comment

knapplc
Qmany has been coming on. He might need a practice squad jersey similar to tschu... warming in to his role. He is deserving. QMany's nomination breaks the old record of 194 total nominations set in 2010. We now have 195 nominations with eight elected positions yet to fill. Link to comment
