We love basketball but folks here are absolutely starving for a top notch football program as evidenced by over 51 thousand showing up for the spring game this past Saturday. That's right....51K for a practice....2nd best in the country. I believe you guys had the most with 60K but Bama has yet to take the field. In all seriousness, just because you have Mark Stoops is your head coach, doesn't mean you will be a "sleeping giant". We have learned the hard way (Basketball), that its hard to resurrect something that never was. It takes time, money, support and LOTS of devotion to succeed in something you have been trailing behind in so many years.

 

Basketball is to Nebraska, as Football is to Kentucky. Basically below average. You guys might be better than you were previously, but its going to take a while for you to become a giant, especially against the LSUs, Ole Misses, Alabamas, Floridas and Georgias. Now, if Mark stoops is to make your football program better, you better hope his devotion to your school is true, and he isn't just using this opportunity to land a bigger job. Also, here is last years attendance rating in the SEC. Right down there at the bottom. In the last 4 years, your school places 9th in the SEC.

Your strength of schedule may be #1 but that has zero meaning if you don't win the games. Which most of them you won't. Because, you know, you're Kentucky football.
