HuskerShark
They don't recruit year-round. Recruiting is an after-thought for this staff. Fire them all. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
I just saw that number in an article about Urban Meyer's potential effect on B1G recruiting. Pretty significant jump. As far as trying to prove your point, I don't know how much influence coaching staffs have over these numbers, and we still have a pretty poor track record of in-season commitments secured, at least this past recruiting cycle. Regardless of how solid the class ended up turning out (which it always does). Not only the small commits, I remember a few recruitniks expressing concern that the head of steam we had built up in early recruiting evaporated during the season again, as usual. QMany
Wouldn't it be easier to secure a few in-season commits living in, say, Florida or Ohio? Would be easier for coaches to "bump" into players on Friday nights and easier for players to get to campus for visits on Saturdays. 1 Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
I know the original comment was sarcastic. But, there are actually fans who think that. It is absolutely totally ridiculous to think this staff doesn't work their azz off all year to recruit. Quote Link to comment
BRV920
Your kidding right? Those guys recruited their asses off. The fact of the matter remains that most of the high profile recruits aren't going to come here no matter what we do. So we have to identify the players that are interested in leaving their home state and go after them. This thread us a insult to the work these guys do year round. Quote Link to comment

ADS
Rich Fisher, Terry Jospeh, John Garrison, and Coach Kaz need to recognized as up-and-coming recruiters. Quote Link to comment

I really like this group of guys we have now (save the Barney jokes). Coaching staff stability should be a priority. Quote Link to comment

I like all of them, too. Any of the staff worry you leaving within next 3-4 years? Quote Link to comment

BigRedBuster
I am very concerned about losing Beck. I like the direction we are moving with the offense. He has been able to bring in real difference makers on offense and design an offense around them. Quote Link to comment

Worries me that there isn't any place for TJ to move up the ladder. Beck, we just have to pay big OC money. Quote Link to comment

I see it happening within the next 3 years. Quote Link to comment
