ColoradoHusk
What about the guy that can't seem to find one Husker item to wear, or even something red or white That is utterly amazing when people don't wear Husker gear on gamedays (especially in Nebraska). I am sure my family gets a lot of stares in Colorado, as we are all decked out in Husker gear on gamedays. Or, they are probably just staring at my freakish appearance. Quote Link to comment

I just make it a point to wear red - sometimes it's Nebraska gear, sometimes not. As long as it's red I don't really care. Quote Link to comment

Time for new friends imo i have limited options. and where i live, there are not many sport fans in general, let along husker fans. i only invite them to inconsequential games. this one was the minny game. we were also celebrating the birth of me. on a side note, they threw a super bowl party once. right before the game started the wife asked, "we aren't actually going to watch this, are we?". i was like, are you kidding? you invited *us* to your super bowl party. what did you expect us to expect? teachercd
Yeah, wearing red is totally fine, even if it doesn't have anything to do with the Huskers. But, the Husker fan that shows up in Lincoln or even to the bars with some jeans on and a yellow polo...really?? Quote Link to comment

I don't get the idea of "wearing my favorite football team gear" to a random football game. That makes no sense. The worst is when I am at a Rockies game and they are guys wearing Red Sox jerseys, when they aren't even playing the Red Sox. Yes, it is baseball, but "your team" isn't playing in that stadium. The Snork
One of mine is what I'll call the "secret fan" who will tell you that they stopped following the team decades ago and can't believe everyone else in the state is "such a child" or a jerk to care so much. They'll be around the house reading a paper or something, in earshot of the radio or watching the tv out of the corner of their eye. And they can tell you all about the current team but no ... they stopped watching in the 80's because they couldn't take the other fans. Yet after a win they have little smile on their faces. My mother and brother fit into this catagory. And I also hate "The sunshine pumpers" as well. Won't criticize a thing and you're a bad person if you find fault with anything. Plenty of them on this board. The worst person to watch a game with? Texas fans ... its like they're from an alternate universe or something. Quote Link to comment

jmfb
The worst person to watch a game with? Texas fans ... its like they're from an alternate universe or something. I dont get those guys I lived there for 6 years How do they come off as being so arrogant? They win ONE National Title in the last what 42 years?: They live in state with 26,000,000 people (about 15x ours) They have More money than God- outspend their competition 2x-3x Have unlimited resources and faciliites Live in a state LOADED with HS football talent They get rated in the top 5 in recruiting classes almost every year- get the pick of the litter They pay their asst coaches boatloads of cash The ONE measily title they did win came thanks to a freak once in a lifetime athlete- Vince Young AND THEY STILL CANT CONSISTENTLY COMPETE- or win multiple national championships Meanwhile up in a state with just 1.7 million people A bunch of local walk ons MUCH lower rated recruiting classes MUCH LESS $$ and players to work with Nebraska wins FIVE National Titles in same time period THAT IS WHY Texas AND some Texas A&M fans are so jealous, many hateful AND NU unlike A&M and TExas have a squeaky clean record when it comes to buying players Yep they do think money can buy everything down there- reality- NOT REALLY They are AWFUL to watch games with Quote Link to comment

Because you should be honored for having the priviledge of being associated with Texas no matter how much they cheat you and stab you in the back. Quote Link to comment
