Wolfgang Funk
LMAO at anyone who thinks any BCS AQ school (aside from Kansas, Indiana, or a school from the AAC) would touch Pelini with a 100' pole. Lots of ADs out there working overtime to land walking P.R. disasters who can't lose fewer than four games per year. LMAO at anyone who would post this. You're right, upon further reflection, I have no doubt that neither Indiana (they already have a better HC than Pelini, anyway) or KU (doubt their interested in any more so-called "Nebraska guys" after the dumpster fire that was the Turner Gill Era) would go anywhere near Pelini, either. I'm not saying now, but say 2 or 3 years from now and he wins a couple B1G champs, I guarantee you he would have other opportunities! People have short memories when it comes to winning, and it would be framed as look how much he has grown and matured as a head coach. ...and if my aunt grew a penis, she'd be my uncle. found a new fear...... I'm dying at this. No idea why but goddamn is it funny. Quote Link to comment
NUpolo8
Ultimately, an issue with Bo looking for what perceived to be greener pastures shouldn't be a reason to distrust, or want the guy gone. Literally every coach does the exact same thing, including a particularly favorite coach for many people here. I feel more and more each day that the only reason Bo is still here is because of his losses. Any more early success and he might have been down the road. Quote Link to comment

skersfan
All those jobs, and no one took him, questionable. I do not believe there was single offer. I believe those were trumped up by his agent to get more money from Nebraska. I truly do not believe there is a single BCS program that is a player, that would even consider him on the sidelines. His actions, the tapes, and the supposed other tapes will have a lasting affect on the Chancellor of any university, stepping back as fast as they can. Harvey may not be our favorite, but he is pretty much in line with every other one out there. Bo better make this work, or he is destined to be a position coach in the NFL for the rest of his career. He has burned a lot of bridges, and if he is fired, those will be the reasons I think. Quote Link to comment

The really sad thing is that obviously those ploys by his agent worked to the pont where he's now nearly earning $3MM/year and hasn't managed to exceed even the middling accomplishments he pulled off when he had Callahan's (read: way more talented) recruits. Some of those school names that have been rumored are just laughable. Miami? When they were staring down the NCAA barrel? People really think someone would wanna jump into that? Okay. The Pedo State one is even more laughable. I know this heresy around these parts, but I think his boss may have wanted to slow down on the Kool-Aid there. Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
The only job Bo really wanted was Ohio St. Seriously. He'd give the world for that job. And there's nothing wrong with that. There were also a couple more legit talks, but they were nothing more than a middle finger to Perlman. The rest were nothing more than the implicating of a name by whatever media source threw it out there. Quote Link to comment
The Dude
I'm leaning towards this being a stepping stone job for Bo all along, which explains the lackadaisical effort in recruiting the first few years. Kind of blew up in his face because he's not as good of a coach as he thought he was. 4 Quote Link to comment

Hard to argue with that notion when we know he wants the Ohio St. job. Quote Link to comment

Gordon Gee were waiting down the hall with a contract already in-hand after the 2011 tOSU game and were just waiting for him to wrap up taping his post-game show to take him on a private plane to Columbus. Guy just has that special combination of meglomania, complete and total lack of self-awareness, and stupid to swallow that type of pie-in-the-sky hook, line, and sinker. Quote Link to comment
