NUpolo8
http://journalstar.com/business/local/gator-bowl-air-charter-canceled-because-of-low-interest/article_cb0c1276-4a34-5bcb-887e-e8db3abea1bf.html This is the first time it's happened in over 25 years. The best traveling fan base appears to have a little more people disenfranchised with the current state affairs then a loud, vocal minority it appears. I wonder if even 2000 tickets will be sold through the University. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
Oh, you wanted Husker fans to show up for the bowl game, Bowl Committee? Yeah, scheduling a rematch probably wasn't the swellest of ideas, then. Quote Link to comment

kchusker_chris
Last year only 4,000 were sold. Not exactly living up to our reputation these days. But hey, they're adding 4 more bowls next year!. Yippy!. Bowl season has become about as exciting as...our bowl. Quote Link to comment
GM_Tood
Yeah, our group decided to do the travel scheduling on our own this year. We got 10 towards the 2000. Quote Link to comment
Foppa
Not that it matters based on the season and the record, but the Big 12 won again. Nebraska fans got smashed by not getting into the BWW Bowl. Tempe > Jacksonville Quote Link to comment
da skers
We haven't traveled well since we got spanked in the Rose Bowl. But last year was pretty sad. I would guess this year would be close to the same. Quote Link to comment

Then the article quotes the CEO of the company, and he's attributing most of it to "Bo Pelini drama" Former player too. That's pretty damn telling. 1 Quote Link to comment

Yeah, scheduling a rematch probably wasn't the swellest of ideas, then. The Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl could've hit a partial home-run by scheduling Nebraska. Hell, they didn't even need NU fans to travel with all the Husker fans that live in Arizona. How many Nebraskans under the age of 70 live in Florida and would go to the Gator Bowl? 6? I think most Nebraska fans would've rather played OU or Texass in Phoenix, but MUCH would've rather played KSUcks than Georgia. Again. This bowl commission is just awful. But at the same time, if Nebraska takes care of business, they wouldn't have to worry about this crap. Enjoy your Michigan/KSU matchup, BWW. Quote Link to comment
alwayshusking
People aren't excited about the product on the field. This is no surprise. 2 Quote Link to comment
