DrunkOffPunch
MSU should be #2, imo. Quote Link to comment
Hooked on Huskers
Who gives a crap about AP jokers? Woohoo! Number #25. Sagarin: RATING #38 ----- PURE_ELO #24 ------DIMIN_CURVE #36 Quote Link to comment
Hooked on Huskers
MSU should be #2, imo. Agreed but Auburn was a tight loss thus a few voters increase and bypass to #2. Plus SEC darling Other than that was pretty much okay except Louisville ..... no respect Quote Link to comment
JTrain
It's easy to focus on their finish, but overall their schedule was weaker than most of the top 10. There aren't many unbiased systems that have them third, much less second. Quote Link to comment
Redmusky
So all the screaming and hollering about BO voting us 25 last month was right Quote Link to comment
Redmusky
Just checked the AP poll ND 20th how do they come up voting that Quote Link to comment
Foppa
Just checked the AP poll ND 20th how do they come up voting that That made me think...can you imagine if Notre Dumb joined the SEC? They could go 0-12 and still finish in the top 10. Quote Link to comment
Hooked on Huskers
Just checked the AP poll ND 20th how do they come up voting that but they did beat Michigan State and two Top25 victories, USC and Sun Devils. Georgia and Michigan was not a single vote (Coaches Poll). Quote Link to comment
deedsker
Ucf and Louisville deserve to be higher. Quote Link to comment
Enhance
Just checked the AP poll ND 20th how do they come up voting that That made me think...can you imagine if Notre Dumb joined the SEC? They could go 0-12 and still finish in the top 10. At least if they had joined the SEC they wouldn't get drunk, piss themselves and fall into a BCS bowl like their situation essentially allows them to. I could see Nebraska moving up a few spots by the start of the 2014 season, too, even if Abdullah kicks it for the NFL. The talent returning in the front seven is going to help tremendously. Plus, I'm not sure I've truly come to appreciate yet what Randy Gregory did for the defense in 2013. The more I think about it though, we haven't had a really good defensive end that can get to the quarterback since probably Carriker, I would think. He may not match the 10 1/2 sack number next year now that teams are likely to key on him more, but it was really refreshing to see his play this year. Imagine what he and Suh would've been able to do as a tandem. Quote Link to comment
1HuskrFan
UCF played no one... just like Boise State,,, sometimes a team with a month to prepare can surprise the favored team.... Baylor gave no respect to UCF during it's bowl preparations, it showed during the game.. no disrespect towards ucf, but if they played in a real conference, they would not have been in the position they were.... give them credit for winning, but to rank them 10th is pathetic... Do you really believe they could navigate a 8 game schedule against real competition week in and week out..... Nebraska was one of the darlings of the B12, moved to the B10 and had to re-adjust everything they were doing in order to compete.... the B1G schedule is a meat grinder... play 8 now 9 games against those mamouth O and D lines. No other conference has that top to bottom,,, no not even the sec... the top half of the sec is good, the bottom half is 0-36 against the top half.... the top half isn't that good,, this bowl season bore that out.... Iowa played with LSU all game, just fell a little short... Iowa is not one of the B1G's top dogs,, where-as LSU is considered one of the big boys in the sec..... Oklahoma exposed Alabama... Auburn couldn't beat Fla State who played no one during the season.. got up 21-3 and couldn't hold the lead..... South Carolina looked better than they were once Stave was injured. had he played the entire game,, I give that game to Wisconsin.... Missouri had Okie light which never has played D.. once they fell behind, it wasn't going to happen for them..... I'm bored with the AP and ESPN... It's like the media is with Obama... the man has done nothing(not one good thing on his resume) in 5 yrs but bring this country to the brink of distruction financially which will also bring this country to it's knees and socialism, and the media sings his praises...Sounds alot like sec bias with obama huh.... The media controls what the perception is in any given topic... their inability to stay unbiased is about as likely as the house and senate representing the people that put them their.... Sorry didn't mean to get off on politics,,,, but the point was to shed light on the media, which has lost contact with reality.....So pay no attention to the AP poll, it means absoluety nothing... Who cares who's 2nd or 22nd.. only one team hoist the crystal deserving or not... GBR Quote Link to comment
Guy Chamberlin
The media controls what the perception is in any given topic... Apply the same critical instincts to politics that you do to college football, and you will recognize the horsesh#t Fox News has been feeding you for five years. (p.s. Fox has a much bigger agenda than ESPN) Quote Link to comment
deedsker
Ucf fudged up and that's why they didn't beat South Carolina and go undefeated. The same SC that is in the top 5. Quote Link to comment
shyndy
Mizzou and South Carolina are a bit too high. Leaving auburn at two is something I actually agree with but this has to be about the first time in history it has happened. Do you think if Msu somehow was in the title game and lost a close game that auburn would stay at 3? Quote Link to comment
