Warrior10
Mike'l Severe @MikelSevere 1h Offense was impressive today. Newby looked quick and decisive. Really like the interior Offense line. Real good battle at center. #Huskers Quote Link to comment
Warrior10
Samuel McKewon @swmckewonOWH 1h 2. When 1st team DL is locked in, that's a darn good unit. Needs to be consistent. Quote Link to comment
Warrior10
Samuel McKewon @swmckewonOWH 1h 1. Tommy Armstrong looked sharp today. Good throws, powerful runs near the goal line. IMO, his best day/week. #Huskers Quote Link to comment
Warrior10
Josh Harvey @JoshHarveyScout 1h Covered quite a few teams. Don't know if there is a D-1 HC who does more to put a smile on kids faces. #BoPelini pic.twitter.com/5WtWC2iAmD Quote Link to comment

lo country
“We’ve given him the chance to rush kind of in the DeMorrio Williams-type mode a couple days, and I think we found a niche for him to be able to help us as a rusher on third down,” Pelini said. “He can play low, he has good hips. Obiously he’s explosive and fast, and I think that’s an area where he’ll be able to help us and give us tons more juice opposite Randy (Gregory).” This, for me, is the most exciting news of spring ball. Super D did all right in 2013. <img class="UMSRatingIcon" id="ums_img_tooltip" /> Quote Link to comment
Branno
Most of the news from this spring so far have me super optimistic for the season, but the recent rash of injuries is really starting to trouble me. I don't think I've seen this many serious injuries in practice during Bo's tenure. Is this indicative of a larger problem? Or are is what we're seeing the result of tougher practices (which could be positive for those that make it through)? Quote Link to comment

I don't think neck injuries like that are telling of anything other than freak injuries. That's not the sort of thing you pick up through bad conditioning or training. (At least I can't imagine it is) Quote Link to comment

Some guys have pain in neck, rolled ankle, and other daily nicks and bumps. Natter's knee cleaning, which is a pretty standard procedure now a days, seems to be the most serious that has happened during camp. EDIT: Of course, you were talking about last season also...that was just a bad luck deal. Quote Link to comment
lo country
Last season was plagued by an injury pandemic. The injury bug came in, set up house and refused to leave. Quote Link to comment
HuskersBeatIowa
Ya, I honestly feel that if we can stay for most part healthy and cut out the turnover bug, this will be a special year. I believe it isnt far fetched to believe that we could win 1-2 more games this year if we cut both these things in half Quote Link to comment
The Dude
I think it's fairly standard for basically every team. Quote Link to comment
Warrior10
Brian Christopherson @HuskerExtraBC 49s Jamal Turner had a real nice day, looking very smooth catching passes in stride. Been making a push last few days after slow start. #Huskers Quote Link to comment

Warrior10
Papuchis said redshirt freshman Marcus Newby is “probably a year away” from making an impact at linebacker — given what Newby needs to learn and the number of already seasoned guys he’d have to surpass on the depth chart. But Newby’s found a role rushing off the edge. “It gets us as fast as we possibly can be with he and Randy (Gregory) on opposite sides,” Quote Link to comment
