Apparently Sterup is 50/50 for the opener. Didn't even see where he was injured. Anyone know?

Yup, second time already while a Husker. Wonder if he is/has considered hanging up the cleats. Hope he attacks this and comes back strong.

Saw a report today that Cotton was gone for graduation and Sterup was out because of an injury. Said that main unit was Lewis, Utter, Pelini, Moudy, Givens Price....then commented about the ridiculous depth on the line.

Finnin got some run with the 1s at right tackle. Making a push. "I think he is going to be able to help us this year," Beck said.

This is about the first time Finnin has even been mentioned that I've seen. Though he was just getting passed by. Hopefully he can work into the mix.

My guess is he's still learning the system. I'd like to see where he sits at the end of camp.

They've said he's looked good at times but is still learning the offense. Sounds like they have basically the entire offense installed so they new guys should start to catch up quickly now.

 

But he's more than likely redshirting. From all accounts he could play if needed but there are enough upperclassmen that it'll be better to save a year.

From what I've read elsewhere the other OL have looked fine, it's just that the injury to Whitaker has created a depth issue at LG making Foster the most likely to play. Farmer is used to playing RG and that is the position that best suits his skillset in our O.

Yeah, I think he hurt a shoulder a couple days ago. Didn't sound serious.

Foster practiced some at DT today. Not permanent though.
