lo country
A 1 loss Nebraska (B1G champion) team is going to be on the bubble. A 1 loss SEC champion or Pac champion is a virtual lock. To say our conference doesn't hurt us is crazy. We need a big weekend next, with MSU/Oregon, Michigan/ND, OSU/VTech. Talking heads show the Pac12 and then the SEC as the 2 strongest conferences. We (the B1G) will probably have to be undefeated or one loss to get in. IMO, national perception shows the B1G as a "weaker" conference and the West as the "weaker" of the 2. We just need to win and that fixes everything. Beating marquee programs by B1G schools will also help national perception. Quote Link to comment
Branno
All we have to do is take care of our own business. If we win em all, or drop 1 with some luck, we should make it in. Only one team impressed me this weekend from the SEC and it was TAMU. Quote Link to comment
Paul in WI
I'll start worrying about it if we win the Big Ten championship game. Until then, I'm not going to get stressed over it. There's too much that can happen between then and now. Savor every game, because football seems to be over before it barely begins. Quote Link to comment
deedsker
If your truly worried about strength of schedule, we get: Michigan St in 2015 Ohio State in 2016 Ohio State and Penn State in 2017 Ohio State and Michigan State in 2018 Ohio State in 2019 Let's just win some games before we get ahead of ourselves, mkay? hskrfan4life
If Nebraska dominates everyone on the schedule including the CCG. Nebraska would be in. All you have to do is win. 1 Quote Link to comment
HUSKER 37
I know how much you old biddies like to do everything in order...But why worry about making playoffs...I want us to Win the dang thing. That's where strength of schedule might have more of an impact. Quote Link to comment

Abdullah the Butcher
The guest on 93.7 the other day mentioned the team with a higher SOS only wins 51% of the bowl games, so how much does it really matter come playoff time. Quote Link to comment

Why are we all assuming national perception makes any hint of difference in the playoff selection. It's a committee of individuals that are probably going to crunch actual numbers and mostly tune out the media's wants and wishes... Quote Link to comment

Haha but according to ESPN, and this was a legitimate conversation that was taking place in preseason, those 13 people are also "susceptible to media's influence". I about choked when I heard it. Husker no ka oi
It's never to early to go full panic-wig out mode. Let's get past UM and MSU first before getting our panties tied in a knot "according to espn". Theres your problem, listing to espn. Quote Link to comment
