HuskerinSunDiego
Don't dismiss this guy so quickly. He is the one coach who has always done well. Remember when Stanford was thinking of hiring him, but then they determined that he was too religious? I think the man would be a great coach. He has the fighting spirit that we need. Also, he knows how to infuse that into his players, rather than using it to harass them. Yes, there are plenty of other potential candidates. But, seriously, why would Scott Frost be better than him? Brown is not part of Pelini's bath water. I wish he were given a long, hard look. Quote Link to comment
Jeremy
Head coach? Not sure, but I don't want him to be an assistant anywhere else. Love this guy on our sidelines. Quote Link to comment
NUance
Love Ron Brown. But that'd be quite a leap. From position coach to head coach. Not saying he couldn't do it. I just wonder whether he would want to. Quote Link to comment
Dr. Mantis Toboggan
Position coach to head coach. BRILLIANT! Quote Link to comment

The Dude
Would probably be a great HC. Too much homophobic baggage to be a serious candidate. 3 Quote Link to comment
alwayshusking
Interim coach for the Iowa game and bowl game. That's about it though. Quote Link to comment
In the Deed the Glory
We are getting a little ridiculous around here now. Come on, Sun Diego. How can this not go in another thread? Quote Link to comment
Husker no ka oi
After hiring him, we can hire the special teams assistant to the assistant to run the D ?? It would be lateral move. Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
ahhhhhhhhh, no. Quote Link to comment
skersfan
I do not think Ron has that level of interest in it. He has other obligations it seems that would not allow him to pursue that level of coaching. He has never pursued a head coaching gig that I am aware of. Could be wrong. Good guy, and would like to see him stick around, but not a requirement for me. No hoops for the new coach if we go that way. Quote Link to comment
