FriendsForever
What FootballScoop has to report "We've talked to a few 'insiders' and we have no clue who Shawn Eichorst will hire. But its not Jim Tressel." Its Jim Tressel. Quote Link to comment
sd'sker
Why haven't any of the "insiders" come up with Bielema's name before, say, 40 minutes ago? I agree. Weird I'd be excited about Bielema. Why not? Talk about bringing an attitude and swag. And everything he brings to the table strictly from a on-the-field standpoint is what Husker fans wanna get back to. and he may be annoying, but i would not say he lacks integrity. donny
https://twitter.com/OWHbigred/status/540244327109120001 Bielema with Cosgrove as DC? I don't have any inside information regarding Cosgrove. Quote Link to comment
olddominionhusker
Rumors that Tressel is the new HC for a 5 year deal worth $37 million I don't recommend you I like to speculate and discuss just as much as anyone. Just because I have heard things from people I trust and people I know where they stand with the program doesn't mean I can't discuss things just like everyone else.Well it seems every name brought up you automatically shoot down. From a speculation standpoint who do you speculate it will be?I was never told that it was not Schiano. I just said I'd be mad if it was.So really you havent been told anything other than "you'll be happy". On top of that you dont have any speculative guesses or contrary to your previous statements you dont like to speculate as to who it will be.If I was dangling cliffhanger style and only way I could be saved was to name 1 person It'd be: Dan Mullen. I have not been told it was Dan Mullen. Now we're getting somewhere. You think he would bounce out of Miss St after the season he has been having? I just find it hard to believe a guy having the type of season he is having in the SEC and all the "advantages" of the SEC would bounce to the B1G. The "advantages " of the SEC West arer not great for Mr. Mullen. The odds that he puts together another 10-2 year are slim in that division, so he would be cashing in while hes a hot commodity instead of after he loses Prescott and returns to 7-5. Which incidentally is where we will likely be with him as coach Why would we want a coach that can only win with a Heisman QB at the helm? I dont think we would which is what my last statement alludes to. Mullen is a bad hire People who love to tout that coach x "took over a disaster and turned it around" might want to steer clear of saying Mullen is a bad hire. He'd be one of the potential home runs. Not sure what you mean Polo. Was I touting Coach x in the manner you suggest? I dont think Ive really touted anyone at all but I dont like Mullen for a number of reasons. Not going to get in an arguement about his merits or lack thereof though as no one ever ends up convinced either way in those scenarios Quote Link to comment

grahm3
Bret Bielema's buy out in his first 3yrs is 12.8 million thats over 20million with Bo's buy out, thats a lot of coin! Hard to believe the University would sign off on that 12.8 is if he gets fired, it's closer to 3 if he leaves on his own I think. Quote Link to comment
stopsayingsoccer
You guys are ridiculous. Bielema would be a homerun. He's won and plays the style of football Nebraska needs to succeed. He's considered a top tier coach. I would be absolutely thrilled. 2 Quote Link to comment

olddominionhusker
Ill be honest I hated Bielma like poison when he was at Wisc. but I think hes one of the better names ive heard thrown around. From a pure coaching standpoint he is solid as hell. The main concern I have with him is loyalty. Seems awful quick to jump ship to the next big thing. 1 Quote Link to comment
