knapplc
I believe the email was to notify the players about a meeting tonight with their new coach How is Riley going to be here tonight? What kind of coach skips out on his team during bowl game preparations? Take a knee, son. 1 Quote Link to comment
HUSKER FREAK
I would NEVER be one to tweet a player or contact in any way, but I have to admit that really kind of pissed me off. But, yeah we are what we're taught. Yeah, it irks me too. I think it was a very poor, very brash thing to say. Let's just understand this is a Bo issue though, forgive the player for it - he is one of ours for one more game after all - and begin laying the Bo era to rest, peacefully. No more venom. It has to start somewhere. Exactly Quote Link to comment
LumberJackSker
Orgeron and Reilly have the same agent according to 1620, orgeron said he's heard the rumor but hasn't heard from Reilly, but would be interested Quote Link to comment
ColoNoCoHusker
So... Mitchell is a goof for tweeting stuff like that, and to counter that we're going to spew vitriol all over a message board? Makes perfect sense. yup, makes me feel tough. It just seems a little odd. Here's behavior I don't like. I'll respond to it with the same behavior. We should probably send these comments to the players on twitter?!?! I'd rather see it on HB, size of audience, grain of salt & all that... Quote Link to comment

The Snork
There were a few tweets about an "email thing". I'm guessing Eichorst didn't hold a meeting to let them know about the hiring and instead sent an email like he did with the firing...? He's Mr. Warmth. Quote Link to comment

I'm taking the stance of, he's a kid, he has yet to get into the real world, he knoweth not what he says. So I'm ignoring him. I just wish his outbursts weren't done while representing Nebraska Football. It's not a lot different than Winston's "FHRITP" stunt. 2 Quote Link to comment

Not sure if I would put him in that category as far as Winston but he does need to learn that freedom of speech doesn't necessarily mean to blurt out any crap that comes to mind. So I'm ignoring him. he's 23, he's not a kid. not many of these are kids. and he knows exactly what he's saying - he's likely 90% trolling. i think mitchel likes the drama, enjoys seeing his tweets plastered around ESPN websites. 2 Quote Link to comment
ColoNoCoHusker
Robin Washut @RobinWashut 24s24 seconds ago Wow. RT @LemmingReport: A person close to the situation tells me that super recruiter Ed Orgeron could be coming to Nebraska. was waiting to hear this. Not gonna like... My first reaction was I liked him in "The Blind Side"... lulz. Seriously tho, agree he would be a good coaching choice. Quote Link to comment
HUSKER FREAK
Yeah you can see on the football field that he likes to cause problems with his mouth, but sometimes that can be good.... just not in the way he did today Quote Link to comment

Its not widely disseminated for all to see. You have to look for this discussion. Mitchell is publicly belittling the new coach on Twitter and sending it out to the world. He knows the papers will pick that stuff up. He deserves to be called out for it 3 Quote Link to comment
