dvdcrr
That all looks OK but I hope they realize that we have a national OL trophy named after one of our guys. This is NEBRASKA. 1 Quote Link to comment
HuSkeRooNz
Hi new to this board. I like what I read and some I disagree with but that's the fun in the boards! Everything written about Riley and his hires can all be criticized but at the end of the day it is what it is. I hope Coach Brown still has a job. Coach Riley was hired without a doubt not for his record but for an array of things; a strong moral character that is approachable, open, kind, seasoned coach, and has the mentality to win the big ones. He was on the cusp of winning big games in a small school with minimal resources. I don't even use that as an excuse and neither does he. At this point, everything is pure speculation. Time will tell. Get the coaches and the team on the field and get going and it will all play out. We have to give Riley time and a chance to rebuild a program and that doesn't happen overnight. 1 Quote Link to comment
zoogs
Is this an upgrade? BigWillie has been rooting for this hire for a while. I take that to mean he's pretty solid! Quote Link to comment

TITANIC VS LUSITANIA
I like this upgrade. We will see on the field, but I am not against this hire. Edit - FWIW was offered a OL position at USC and got a call from Alabama to see if he was interested back in 2013. Quote Link to comment

A call from Alabama in 2013 is a huge upgrade from Rileys call from Alabama to be HC back before Saban. This is comforting. Quote Link to comment
Hayseed
It's really hard to judge anything at this point. Riley is nationally known as an even-tempered nice guy and a knowledgeable coach who is liked by his players. It's hard to have an opinion about his assistants because, let's face it, most of us know nothing about them. It's pretty standard for a new coach to bring with him the guys he knows and trusts,....I'd find it very odd if he didn't. We'll just have to see how it all plays out on the field next year.....what else is there to do? Quote Link to comment

Yeti
I like this hire more than any of the position coaches so far. Incredible experience. Love his style of coaching from what I saw in the video. Definitely an upgrade. Quote Link to comment
Atbone95
"I think it's important we treat people right" 4 minutes of him degrading his guys. I LOVE it. 1 Quote Link to comment
