HuskerfaninOkieland
Probably has been discussed already but these two stats are interesting 1. When Nebraska loses, it’s usually because it is having trouble stopping the run. In the Cornhuskers’ three losses this year, they’ve allowed an average of 350 yards on the ground. 2. When Nebraska running back Ameer Abdullah faces seven or fewer defenders in the box, he’s averaging 7.2 yards per rush. However, when teams stack the box with eight or more defenders, that number drops drastically to 3.4 yards per carry http://espn.go.com/blog/bigten/post/_/id/113096/viewers-guide-national-university-holiday-bowl Quote Link to comment
Guy Chamberlin
I'm gonna go all touchy-feely and say this team needs to go out there and have some fun. Quote Link to comment
MichiganDad3
If we do not stop the run we lose, and maybe get embarrassed. Quote Link to comment
gobiggergoredder
Offense - Has to get yards 4-5 yards on first down. Can't spend a ton of time on the field because of o line depth. Defense - Have to pressure the QB. Hopefully Paps stays away from the 4 DL standing at the line Special Teams Brown needs to earn his scholy. I doubt they punt to DPE, so they will need to figure something out. General (Obvious) Pelini teams have always lost the field position game. No stupid penalties(false starts or PFs at the worst times) Turnovers Quote Link to comment
skersfan
If the O can not control this game, we have no chance. Kessler will rip the defense apart. Run the clock and hope we outlast them in the 4th quarter. Quote Link to comment

HuskerJax
I think paps turns it loose and sends the d "hunting" without papa Pelini to dictate play calls, they just go out and play. Hopefully a similar defense to the end of last year. Let the athletes play and be aggressive. Oh, and we need to score more points than they do Quote Link to comment

Run the clock and hope we outlast them in the 4th quarter. Kessler completes 70 percent of his throws.....will be hard to stop. Quote Link to comment

Frustrated
I think that we need to go out and play hard and put up more points than the Trojans. Quote Link to comment

ericdolph
If ameer can have a huge day I think this game is victory, depends how healthy he has become. His game is on another level at its best. Quote Link to comment
Redux
Dont give up the big run Limit USC's passing yards Dont break in the redzone on either side of the ball Allow our playmakers time and space to make the big plays Quote Link to comment
ithinkiloverg44
The one thing that our defense has been good at is shutting down passing games, and to be honest I think we make Kessler struggle quite a bit tonight. Our D-line and secondary are fine and that's not what worries me, our offense worries me, moreso TA worries me. We had a QB graveyard for a reason, alot of impressive names in there, much more impressive than Kessler. Just my .02, but I think our defense will be just fine tonight. Quote Link to comment
