True2tRA
Their home field advantage is almost non existent. Miami has an all-time home record of 343-158-14 (.6796), including a 299-136-7 (.684) in games played at the Orange Bowl Stadium, the Hurricanes' home field since 1937. Jussayin'. ColoradoHusk
Figure home field is 3 points, at home we'd still be underdogs. We just need to handle our business. Wouldn't that make us a 1.5 point favorite at home?Yep, pretty much. These 2 teams are pretty average and both about the same. It should be a close game. Quote Link to comment

It'sNotAFakeID
Home field advantage is worth about 3 points. On a neutral field Miami would be about a 1.5, 2 point favorite, which is about right considering all that has happened this year and the relative talent on both sides of the ball. Hayseed
WHAT!!?? This is an insult! Mighty Miami beats Bethune-Cookware and Carl Pelini's alma mater Atlantic Surfdudes and we're the dog in this game? Didn't we win last year? Are they saying our coach is a pansy who can't put a team on the field? We have to go down there, not pay any attention to the pretty half-naked girls, and put a serious beating on this pretender of a football program. Maybe our strategy of lulling them into a false sense of security by playing prevent defense the first two games will pay off when we bring the hammer down on their pathetic program? zoogs
Miami's strengths on offense play well against our weaknesses on defense. It's going to be an interesting battle with a potentially much improved Kaaya, playing at home. If we can get pass rush out of the DL, that will be huge. Miami's OL haven't impressed this year, right? If their run D is indeed suspect, then what Nebraska worked on and showed this past game should be pretty good stuff to build upon.
