Redux
We were beat up going in and we were even more beat up going out. That's a heck of a defense we had to wear out today, gotta give em credit. 1 Quote Link to comment
macroboy
We're the worst undefeated team that's beat its opponents by an average of 19+ points in the country. That is one of the weirdest things I've ever heard and I agree completely. Although it is way better than being the best 5-7 team in the country. 1 Quote Link to comment
wiuhusker
It's very possible Newby is our most complete back. And IF we can get him in the open field he's dangerous. Carlos Davis had a couple nice plays as well. Biggest issue is we need to get healthy. Today took a toll on our guys. Quote Link to comment
alwayshusking
Strange game. We dominated at times but didn't lead for much of the game, even trailed. We have owned the 4th quarter this year 78-6 1 Quote Link to comment
alwayshusking
4 three and outs in 5 possessions in the 2nd half for the Blackshirts. Credit to the long scoring drives from the offense as well there. 2 Quote Link to comment
NUance
Wow! No punts. You just don't see that too often. Especially in a game that was nip and tuck going into the 4th qtr. Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
I still believe we are a Top 25 team but not a Top 15 team. This is not the same team as last year; we finish games. This isn't something I learned but something I'm pretty sure of: we're not going to wear down Wisconsin and Ohio State, so we can't keep expecting it to go this way. 2 Quote Link to comment
Thanks_Tom RR
78-6 in the 4th quarter this season. We are a Top 15 team, for sure. 2 Quote Link to comment
Redux
Absolutely no reason we can't utilize this BYE and put an absolute hurting on the Hoosiers. 6-0 is on the line, let's make Nebraska great again! 1 Quote Link to comment

Possibly, but I have expectations from Riley and team to improve as much as is within their reach; to put up huge fight and not give up. So far we have seen the team do this in the last 5 games. MLB 51
Penalties and turnovers in the red zone are a problem. Our punt return still sucks. This team has heart. They fight through all 4 quarters. Last year this team probably would have lost this type of game. Defense shows up when need them most. Quote Link to comment
Moiraine
78-6 in the 4th quarter this season. We are a Top 15 team, for sure. Because we've worn down weaker teams with less depth. I don't think that will work against good teams. Although if we can get by the regular season with only 2 losses that probably does make us a Top 15 team. I just saw some really bad things by the defense today that make me worried about Wisconsin/Ohio State 2 Quote Link to comment
Bowfin
This is what we learned: Nebraska runs the quarterback sneak as well as anybody. A very quick and powerful push and Armstrong makes the most of it. Illinois is a tough team, especially the defense. They put some bumps and bruises on Nebraska (and got some in return). Riley is pretty bullheaded when it comes to fourth and short...good for him, I'm glad they are working out. It sets a tone for the whole team and especially the offensive line. Quote Link to comment
