Read Tom Dienhart's columns or listen to him as an analyst. He does not see Nebraska's success this season as legitimate, which delegitimizes the coaching job Riley is doing, so how can you say Riley is the best coach at the mid-season point? Personally, I don't get hung up on if the media is praising Nebraska or not. Like the ESPN segment questioning Nebraska as a Top 10 team. I'm cool. I like what I see on the field and the progress from year 1 to year 2. I like the hard-edge mindset this team has to win and how well they have been playing (credit to both players and coaches). Wisconsin's two losses have come by a combined 14 points against the #2 & #3 teams in the country. One of those losses was on the road. Their two losses this year are to the current #2 and #3 teams in the nation, one going to overtime and the other being a one score slugfest. Obviously too early to tell what the entire season will look like, but that's a pretty salty team playing at a really high level with a freshman quarterback and a much improved team over 2015.
