mrandyk
My God the radical leftists on this board! Where on Earth did you acquire such socialist/communist ideas? Sanders? Warren (she's got to be about as old as Clinton and nuttier)? Biden is a another reprobate with women but atleast not so radical left. The best candidate by a country mile was Ted Cruz and Rubio was a strong second. That would have been a great ticket. I am hopeful, should Trump pull this thing out as the trends suggest, that Ted Cruz will be our next Attorney General. He has some serious prosecuting to do as Hillary and Bill and a bunch of their associates have some accounting to do. The Rico statutes will apply and I would hope to see that entire Clinton foundation seized as ill gotten booty and used for some real charitable work. Trump has some redeeming values as he will certainly break up the special interests' grip on our federal government and the Congress. I am fairly confident he will be a fairly calm and steady leader once the heat of the electoral battle is over but of course the media attacks will be unending so who knows. He does have a sort of Bo Pelini temper it seems. You can not talk down at everyone like that and then make dubious claims that Trump has redeeming values. 5 Link to comment

Bigred_inSD
I though I'd see some of the Nebraska people here throw out Sasse, I liked Bernie and covering his event in Pine Ridge made me like him more. Link to comment

I admire Sasse for having the balls to call out Trump early. But, I don't think he is ready for anything like president. Link to comment

Bigred_inSD
Eric Greitens might be an interesting republican name. Navy seal, wrote a few books. Running for governor in Missouri. Link to comment

He does have a sort of Bo Pelini temper it seems. Remember we are mentioning people from both parties - doesn't mean we'd vote for all of them. For example, my post - I take the position that the Dems would be running away wt the election wt Warren (and also Biden) were the nominee. I'd never vote for the 2 but I might vote for Jim Webb depending on who the Reps nominated. I can see a Rubio/Cruz ticket being strong. Cruz may have been too strong of a personality to be on top (I mean in style not in convictions) However there are some inherent weakness to that ticket - while it plays to the Hispanic vote, it may be seen as overly so. Experience - both are one term Senators, limited political spectrum - both are very close in their political ideas. Link to comment
