Omaha-Husker
Outside of the 1:45 before half just couldn't get the offense rolling. Tough loss b/c NW shot lights out and we were still in it at the end. This isn't a back breaker by any means, gotta keep competing every game. Quote Link to comment
SouthLincoln Husker
Watson & Morrow both had sub par games. This team needs some rest! Quote Link to comment
Landlord
Northwestern isn't a bad team. Nobody thought we'd be 3-1 to start conference play, we're just fine. 1 Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Stinks to let one slip away at home but at least we're putting forth a solid effort. Northwestern is pretty solid. Quote Link to comment
MileHighHusker
Not sure what happened with Horne? Post game, Miles said he ran a play wrong and blew a defensive assignment, so he benched him. Quote Link to comment

TonyStalloni
The Huskers did not match up well with NW. We tried to double the post early and when he kicked it back out they were crazy accurate on their 3's. They shot over 40% from 3 land and over 50% overall and over 90% of their free throws. When they made their 3's we couldn't push the ball and get easier shots at the rim. McVeigh and Jacobson got some points but Watson struggled all day. The run at the end of the half was nice though and shows what can happen if the other team misses a few. Quote Link to comment

Northwestern was shooting 37% for the season and they beat us in the paint last year They got hot and Webster got frustrated by their defense. We are young and will learn from this game. TonyStalloni
I think this Husker team will win some games in the BIG this year. A team like Minnesota with their length might hurt us but only if they can match the shooting % NW had today. When we get the ball in transition on a missed shot or steal, Webster can attack the rim even in a 1 on 2 situation and even if he doesn't make the basket he usually gets fouled. Today he had few chances and Watson was covered like a blanket. NW coaches did their homework and knew how they had to beat us. Quote Link to comment
pearljammer
It stinks losing this one at home but with the double overtime I'm not surprised we were a little flat. We still have a lot to be optimistic about starting conference play 3-0 and now 3-1 in conference play. If we keep that winning 3 out of every 4 conference games we'll be in great shape. 2 Quote Link to comment
