Redux
I feel like it's going to be either Ozigbo or Wilbon as the #1 guy with Bryant pulling backup and short yardage catches duty until he wins or gets the #1 spot by default. Quote Link to comment
Pedro Guerrero
I would take Aaron Green over the backs we have now but I would not trade any of them for Braylon Heard. Quote Link to comment
NUance
Zero love for my full house? Ya'll suck Predictability the milkman, the paperboy, evening TV?Nothing wrong with Full House. That was a quality show back in the day. +1, Atbone. Great pic! I was trying to understand it. I think you're saying Adam Taylor didn't start because he spent too much time watching 1990s sitcome reruns, right? (Or because NU has a full house of RBs ahead of him. lol) Quote Link to comment
DrunkOffPunch
Oz. He has a lot of similar qualities with Burkhead. Just doesn't have the line he had. Quote Link to comment

I don't see the comparison to Burkhead at all. Oz is much bigger and more of a plodding running back compared to Burkhead. Rex was tough and excelled between the tackles by getting small in the hole, and he was also able to make cuts in the open field, 1 Quote Link to comment

Not a huge fan of Langsdorf's run scheme and I think that made all of our backs look worse than they were. 1 Quote Link to comment

Rex was 5'11, 210 lbs. Rex was a slasher who could excel on inside or outside rungs. Ozigbo is 6'0 230 lbs. Devine is the "big back" who runs north-south and breaks tackles to get chunks of yards. They are 2 totally different style of running backs. Quote Link to comment
DrunkOffPunch
Ozigbo has plenty of agility. Just because he's built more like Cross doesn't mean they are of the same mold. Quote Link to comment

Enhance
Nebraska is still going to be a bare minimum 40 percent running team, probably more likely between 45-50 percent. What matters equally (if not more) is how the line comes together with some of the new faces. Quote Link to comment

He shows flashes of ability to make people miss and runs with a lower pad level than cross did but he's not as elusive as rex nor as fast. Quote Link to comment

What matters equally (if not more) is how the line comes together with some of the new faces. So, you're saying that we'll match what they did at Oregon State right? That's probably a fair assumption to make. I imagine we'll favor whichever part of the offense is the strength. It's too early for any of us to really know what that's going to look like right now. Looks like it depends on the QB they have in place and the RB's they have as well. We may well be more passing next year than running...but, it will not be that way every year and Riley's previous statistics support this. I agree with this. Quote Link to comment
The Dude
Adam Taylor? really thought the dude had a chance to be really good out of high school, but don't think he even has a carry..... thoughts? He's been at full health the last two seasons playing a lot of special teams. Quote Link to comment
whateveritis1224
Adam Taylor? really thought the dude had a chance to be really good out of high school, but don't think he even has a carry..... thoughts? He's been at full health the last two seasons playing a lot of special teams. Full health doesn't also mean he's back to his full potential. The ACL tear might have caused him to be a step slower and then, can't remember where I heard it, but his ankle injury was pretty bad. Love for him to contribute and be the RB we thought he'd be coming from out of HS, but at this point he's probably just going to be a special teams contributor. Quote Link to comment
