Nebraska 41, UCONN 39 UCONN won opening series against Louisville (neutral site) Lost to Indiana, beat Illinois, lost @ Virginia, swept by national seed ECU, lost series 1-2 against Sam Houston state Fun fact, UCONN never swept an opponent and only got swept once in either conference play or noncon (only swept by ECU) According to Warrn Nolan Edited May 28, 2019 by hskrfan4life 1 Quote Link to comment

But this is where statistics can be misleading at times. They are 50 spots better than us in the standings. Which seems like a lot. But they are 0.010 better than us as a percentage. 1 hit every 100 at bats. Or roughly one hit every three games. That's all but indistinguishable in any given game. There are simply a lot of teams playing baseball. And a whole bunch of them are very similar. 1 Quote Link to comment

On one hand, you're likely on the tail end of diminishing returns with those seven games and their impact on stats. On the other hand, those games we lost out on were against inferior opponents that we would have likely had a field day with, thus having a significantly larger impact on stats. 1 Quote Link to comment

New Mexico State has a really potent offense so I would be curious how we would've fared against them. Also sucks we didn't get Baylor at home. Quote Link to comment

NU took 2 out of 3 from Baylor on the road, so those games helped the NU RPI more than if NU faced Baylor at home (even if NU could have swept Baylor). 1 Quote Link to comment
