They're protesting against police brutality and the response is to tear gas them, head shots with rubber bullets and striking them with clubs which all kind of proves the protesters right. I understand that not all of the people who attend these protests have good intentions but day after day for a few weeks there are seemingly endless videos of police abusing people. This doesn't seem like there is just a few bad apples but rather a systemic problem in the way police across the country are trained. I'm not trying to say that all or even the majority of cops are bad people but there has to be something done about the way they respond to protest. If we saw this kind of response from police in another country Congress and the president would condemn it so it should not be allowed here. 3 Link to comment
