BigRedBuster
Wow...that's huge. His replacement will be interesting. They should be able to attract someone really good. 1 Quote Link to comment

Vizsla1
Rose is an absolute legend for women's college volleyball and he will be missed. A couple buddies that coach competitive v-ball say he is one of the nicest coaches out there; they speak very highly of him. He goes out of his way to introduce himself and discuss various players with these guys. 1 Quote Link to comment
teachercd
It is sort of sad that guys like this, who most fans have never heard of, never get the send off they have earned. Quote Link to comment

Well, then let's petition our AD to do something about it. Next season, when Penn State plays in Lincoln, it's officially "Russ Rose" day and we blow the roof off for the guy. Hell, we can even get everyone to wear white--that way it's not an affront to our school colors, and usually the volleyball crowd is better than the football crowd at following directions--and show highlights from both sides of the win column that involve Rose. There's a definite PR upside to doing this, I know...but I think doing something this classy would elevate the sport, schools, and our conference above all else. 1 Quote Link to comment

My wife basically says the same thing your buddies experienced, she took a leadership course he taught at PSU and loved it - said it was her favorite course. She also added that often he would be outside the hall working on a stogie before class lol 1 Quote Link to comment
okaive
Sad to see him leave. I really don't see Penn St being relevant the next few years, but hope I am wrong. Quote Link to comment
