Hedley Lamarr
Obviously the vast majority have opinions in regards to me and my viewpoints regarding our program. But for the first time since 2009 I had a sip of koolaid in regards to how the team performed. All I ever truly wanted was to see us do what we did last night. That was a game where we took punches and finally threw them back. Too often we have played fragile and been punched in the mouth and folded. Does this mean we win 12+ games this season? Hell if I know, however I finally felt a little pride again in rooting for NU last night. A tiny sliver of optimism exist. I hope this team can finally do what NU hasn't done since 1999. Make us all believers again. 9 Quote Link to comment

It takes getting mean, nasty and throwing punches. We might lose games this season, but IMO, it won't be from mental collapse or getting punched and folding. That's a win and a step that Bo and Co can't teach or recruit. I am glad the game turned into a street fight. Quote Link to comment

jjamuss
Koolaid is for everyone, the amounts consumed seem to be the only variance among our fan base. Last night was the first time in a LONG time that I felt we were done taking beatings off 'the bully' and being robbed of our lunch money; we fought back, as hard as we could. Pent up angst? Maybe. Turning a corner? Probably. Husker Nation on the rise? Seemingly. Done getting pushed around in OUR HOUSE? DEFINITELY! Loved the bit the students pulled off, loved hearing the singing at the end and loved it when we had enough and responded with a fitting chant... BS! Last night was a special one, it was not the family atmosphere you expect at 11am or 230pm. It was a night game that legends are made of, we witnessed history in action and took part in something that was so needed that it boiled over into everyone who was watching; in person and televised. By my ramblings, it is clear I drink glass after glass, wanting more and more. Dream big, be loud, and believe... without hope, we have nothing. On a side note... I sit in sec 32, right at the top, and never before have I seen refs run to a getaway car after a game. They literally looked like they just robbed a bank and were running for their lives as they piled into a waiting van, under police escort. Those refs were doing the dirty to us, just like Miami was... everything that happened in response was justified. So many times Huskers would turn the other cheek, it was an awesome sensation to feel the fight rise up and boil over into such intimidation that it makes grown men run from the lion's den. Congrats to Bo and his boys, they deserved the W last night... almost as though it were a gift to the guys from 94. Quote Link to comment

Husker_x
We can't be quick to forget there have been reasons to be jaded from this staff. But when they said they did some soul searching in the offseason, I'll admit I believed it was more than the usual bullsh#t. Now the test is consistency. Let success breed success. Hooked on Huskers
It depends. Pepper, Salt or Sugar ingredients added Kool-Aid mixture. I'm tempted to add liquid cyanide from time to time ... children NU fans were murdered at Jonestown Huskerville, almost all of them by cyanide poisoning. ..... show Jones Pelini opening a storage container full of Kool-Aid in large quantities Quote Link to comment

Make us all believers again. There are two huge hurdles coming now. I've seen this performance from a Bo led NU team before. They sat on a pretty damn good MSU in 2011, spent the week reading how awesome they were, and got beat by a Northwestern team they were head and shoulders better than. A very bad, yet capable Illinois looms. Beyond the Illini, the real "whole nation watching game" in East Lansing beckons. They've handled their business, but the intelligent knew that the schedule boiled down to four games. Miami MSU Wisconsin A trip to Indy. 1 down. The three tough ones remain. 3 Quote Link to comment

Let success breed success. well said. in the illinois thread i said something about msu is when the truth will come out. and i think it may have came off as more ominous as i intended. i would say that they have proved that they can be the team we want them to be. not it is a matter of finding out if they will be the team we want them to be. like you said, now it is all about consistency.
