dergibog
I went to a coaching clinic a few years ago and heard Bo speak about his "Eleven Keys to Success" How many of these eleven keys were missing in the last month of games, or even in the past 7 years? 1. Effort – Clearly defined expectation with beginning and end 2. Accountability – personally accountable to team to correct mental errors, minimize mistakes on the field and beyond ---- in school, at home, in community 3. Attitude - Hold each other responsible for a positive attitude 4. Work Ethic – Be who you are all the time 5. Fundamentals – hands, feet, eyes 6. Knowledge – know the what, how and why to apply to a new situation 7. Consistency – use mistake to teach but expect perfection 8. Teach – Players build pictures of concepts 9. Fix You – Look to correct what you can control 10. Create a Mindset – of effort, striving for excellence 11. Pride – take it personally when someone beats you, but offer no excuses Quote Link to comment
KC Sker
I can think of only 1 way Bo could be successful. Coach somewhere other than the university of Nebraska. Just sayin. Quote Link to comment

Count 'Bility
11 keys to success? Shouldnt it be #9 keys to success? Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
And on a serious note, I would say work ethic and consistency are the only two that HAVE been here. We are who we are all the time, and we're consistently inconsistent. Quote Link to comment
sd'sker
mmmmh.... fried chicken. wait, keys to success? i was hoping herbs and spices. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
10. Create a Mindset – of effort, striving for excellence When the season began the team seemed to be sick of 9 wins and determined to take the next step. Now senior leaders on the team such as Kenny Bell are sending the opposite message. :/ 1 Quote Link to comment
Blackshirt39
We need to simplify this. Quote Link to comment
CPT Blackshirt
On average we LOSE sight of 4 of those. Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
Honestly, I don't think we will find a coach that does most of those such as work ethic, effort, teach, pride...etc. more than Bo. Problem is, there is a problem with one area you mentioned....mindset. Something is wrong here where the team melts down a few times a year. This starts at the top with the head coach which means #9 and #10 are the biggest issues on the team. Fix those, and this entire program is totally different. Quote Link to comment

I've just lost confidence in his ability to fix the mental aspect of himself and his teams. I really believe Bo just needs a change of scenery to start fresh. Quote Link to comment
JJ Husker
Of the eleven, I have only witnessed 2 of them; #4 Work Ethic & #7 Consistency, which as Count said has been consistently inconsistent. If this is what he was preaching at a clinic, he could sure take some of his own advice. Some of these are so far off the mark it's laughable. Quote Link to comment
