    NFL 2024

NFL Christmas games (on a Wednesday!) going to Netflix this year. The NFL is going to single handedly make people want bundled cable to return. Streamers - Netflix, Amazon, Peacock Network - CBS, Fox, NBC, ABC Cable - ESPN, NFL Network

  6. While I agree, I think it's strange the way Nate Silver frames this - and it's pretty much the status of American Politics right now. The Republican National Committee already withdrew from the Commission of Presidential Debates two years ago. Silver chooses to frame it in a way that makes it seem like Biden is unilaterally doing this and it is uniquely bad to Biden and Republicans aren't even mentioned. Why? Why frame it like this Nate?
  7. Big Ten Championship on CBS this year. Ending Fox's run from 2011
  8. Yep, She is building her base for 2028 in the new Moderate Party!
  9. Assuming that means to say Cibolo instead of Cibalo, he is from the same HS as Tommy Armstrong.
  10. My god man. It came straight from his mouth using his own words. I mean, I know I treat MAGA with contempt, mockery, and disdain but for the love of all that is holy, are you serious? Do you think Tuberville said he went there to "Overcome this gag order" because he's just that nice of a guy? I mean, I know that even if he outright confessed to being directed by Trump, was charged with a crime, and went to court you'd still believe him. But the cognitive dissonance Conservatives display at their politics is truly astonishing.

  12. Every time Fox News offers a lawsuit-avoiding apology or asks a Trump acolyte hard questions, Newsmax gets a spike of new visitors.
  13. The key fundamental difference is having an organization that is informed via an ideological background vs an organization that has a top down modus operandi of ideological activism. Mainstream media, non-right wing cable news, hollywood, etc. - yeah, they're liberal in the sense that they're largely comprised of liberal folks making up their rosters, because artists and journalists tend to be more progressive people. But that's not their primary motivating force. There are exceptions like MSNBC who saw Fox News' success as a business model, but the claim 'they're all liberal!' really detracts from the different nature in which their bias isn't partisan with the goal of being a propaganda delivery system, but the bias is more towards outrage sensationalism and laziness.
  14. Welcome to the right side of history. Glad we can count on your vote.
  15. Haley gets 20% of the vote in Maryland and 17% in Nebraska. I hope all of those people vote against Trump in Nov.
  16. Reporting that tax cuts don't work isn't "liberal", it's economic reality. Reporting that climate change is causing global temperatures to rise isn't "liberal", it's reality. The simple fact that none of these networks refer to Trump as "President Trump - Adjudicated Rapist" proves they are not in the same league as Fox News as a propaganda piece. The funny thing is, they'd be accurate in their reference to Trump. But they don't want to make people mad by reminding them they've voted for an Adjudicated Rapist (who later defamed his victim) by referring to him as such.
  17. Iron Horse is great Bent Tree in Council Bluffs is really nice Arbor Links (Private now but I think there are ways to get on) is AMAZING. Out in Nebraska City Woodland Hills in Eagle NE is very nice. Can't go wrong with Indian Creek in Omaha @BigRedBuster
  18. My son and I played Iron Horse last week and the course was in great shape and was a lot of fun. I was told Quarry Oaks expects to be completed by September but won't be taking reservations till Spring 2025.
  19. Honestly don't know where you're going with this. We've already bought into the premise that Donald Trump has done (literally) a hundred things that would have killed any other political career. We know about these hundreds of things because the press covered them -- often gleefully — as they seemed destined to doom Trump's career as well. So the question isn't whether the media protected him (they actually profited from his excesses) it's why half of America forgave and even embraced Trump for things they found intolerable in Democratic candidates. The media isn't as liberal as some like to think, but they most definitely represent the college educated elites that statistically lean Democrat. Responsible journalists and of course intellectuals will consider the complexities and hypocrisies of stories, even if the truth puts the liberal narrative at risk. When the legitimate news snares a Hillary or Biden or COVID misstep, anxious liberals suddenly call it betrayal, and wonder why the media is serving the Trump agenda. Right wing news sources rarely feel this obligation. They actively create alternative narratives and blatant untruths that allow supporters/voters to ignore the hundred things Trump did that would have killed any other political career. To someone else's point: Fox and CNN generally do okay with the straight news reporting. Then they undermine all objectivity with four hours of prime time pundits rolling their eyes and clutching their pearls. Everyone knows the only antidote to Donald Trump is to ignore him. But that insane frothing horse left the barn years ago.
  20. I agree with the Biden camp on their assessment of the Debates.
  21. Put another way, the facts (the truth) is what they typically portray. The problem is, the facts don't often line up with the world view of conservatives, so they attack the source rather than the facts.
