I hear you - however it shows how things take time and results show up on the field way after the hard work is done.

Most teams time each kickers hang time and time it takes to get the first two players down to the 25 - if the numbers dont make sense the returner has already been told that it is a no go.

You do know that there is now a rule where you can fair catch the kick and take it at the 25 - don't you?

I dont know if I see him signing in nov unless he is already in line with NU. The state of nebraska is a big draw here and will keep him interested. We don't have to be equal to ks and others we just need to show relevance. There is a lot of talent on the bench.

FH has the potential to be one of the better coaches in the country and this team will not be a bottom feeder by HS soph year. HS will delay his decision as long as possible to see how NU improves. The three players that are not playing this season could be 3 of our top 5 next year and I'm sure it has been discussed regarding the team's potential.

It is possible to have more talent and lower class rankings. Skilled players are ranked higher than OL / DL / TE / LB . So if one team stock piles skilled players their ranking will be higher then the team that goes for the trenches. Obviously to be the best team you need to cover all gaps with extra attention to the trenches in the BIG.

Good chance that if Walter's is gone the reason it hasn't been announced is that it elevates the smoke around his replacements and all parties have agreed that they would prefer to reduce that until the entire season is over.

Believe this is a 2 - 3 year plan - just based on past interviews with cook.

i feel like issues with ST have been lack of talent more so then lack of coaching. When your third string guys that are as good as your second string and almost as good as your starter you have a lot of options at ST. When you have a lot of good depth at TE, OLB, LB, DB, RB and WR then you have some nice options to field 11 spots on ST.

so this is a bad move? similar to when McBride and company decided to move players from their current positions to a spot closer to the line of scrimmage making the defense faster. I actually love the idea of playing 3 OLB and 1 ILB with the 3rd outside LB playing the field side and give the tougher ILB the boundary.

NU has yet to have a TE under SF that is long / strong / Fast - so it will be interesting to see how he uses the rutgers transfer (voletick?) Next season. There has also been talk of some 3 TE sets. A long TE can be an advantage over a short FB. No reason an athleletic TE cant lineup in the back field and plow for 3 yards on a 3rd and 2 or chip a line man and then catch a 3 yard pass better then a FB.

Well I guess it is fairly normal to run trick plays

JD is a huge asset and would love to see him be one of our many weapons next season - but if he is truly thinking about leaving or does leave it would just reinsure how the MR stain needs to be washed away.

Problem is teach isn't a hunter or a diehard husker fan I do miss living in NE and having access to plenty of private land - nothing like a morning hunt followed by a mid day game
