  1. I shot 90% in HS. If your mechanics are bad it probably won't help much practicing. Someone needs to show them how to shoot.
  2. Create a youtube channel and these girls could probably make more money than most Nebraskans. We should consistently have the best team money can buy.
  3. I was going to say that maybe the question we should ask is "What if we don't score on Wisconsin?". I know they've been blanking opponents so I looked at their games. They shutout USF, Cent MI, Kent and Michigan State. NW did score 15 on them 3 in first qtr and 12 in the 4th. I can't remember how many of the 12 were after the game was out of hand. Wisconsin is a much tougher team and will run over our squishy soft defense so no chance of a win. Hopefully we can keep them under 50. I think we can score on them but what a disaster if we don't.
  4. I remember a UCF game where Frost ran it 4 times up the middle on short and goal. If I had to guess, he doesn't have confidence in the O-line.
  5. I haven't given up, I don't think it's possible. The Callanah years showed that it's better to take a multi-year break from Husker football. Right now my thoughts are:
  6. If only they had game film they could review to figure out why things aren't "clicking".
  7. I don't remember hearing that, are you sure? Frost wanted the same coaches that were with him at UCF where they had a lot of success but first had to turn the program around. His assistants came with Frost to help him turn around his alma mater. They also have a lot of respect for Frost, believe in him and wanted to keep working with him. All of this seemed like an idea situation so even though things haven't played out as we've expected I don't think it justifies breaking up the band just yet. I would stock up on some analysts though.
  8. I wonder if Frost believes that he can turn the program around. He's not giving a timeline so I guess in 20 years he can say he was right.
  9. Bottom programs like ours have a hard time attracting top talent. Frost might be able to sucker some good offensive skill players to come. It's going to be difficult to surround our stars with serviceable players now that the current players dented Frost's COY awards. It's sad really. All they had to do was eke out mediocre 8 win seasons for us to ride the Frost wave for a few years. After that it would have been a self sustaining program rebuild. Our only chance will be buying players once the NCAA changes the rules in 2021. 2023 or 2024 might be our first watchable team.
  10. Sun played well. I thought they looked the best I've seen in the few matches I've watched. PSU looked tough, a little sloppier but good hitters (if that is the right term).
  11. LOL. How is that RR overpass still standing? A lot of rental trucks and RVs which can be expected.
  12. AM seemed to have a lot of time in the pocket. I thought the OL must have decided to put some effort into pass protection then I thought twice and decided Purdue was just bad. 81st is bad. I would have liked to see what Vedral could do for a series or more with the additional time.
  13. So caught up in the misery on the gridiron I forgot about this game. "Dream like a champion" What kind of sign is that??? Champions aren't farted out of unicorn butts. These girls work hard to become champions. They want it.
  14. Your father's name is Bob and he smokes a lot of pot?
  15. This loss hurts. I consider a season successful if we're competitive in every game and give full effort. This season is failing badly. We have good enough talent and coaches to win most of our games. We need to get past the effort losses. It's not just during games. Our execution on offense and defense is so sloppy it's obvious we're not putting the effort into practice to get things right.
  16. I thought we loaded the wagons and went east
  17. I was thinking it's going to be bad to lose this one and we've got to pull it out. I also found myself admiring Purdue for their effort. I think the scouting report is out on Nebraska and it's straight out of the movie "The Hustler"- stick with them, they're losers. We can talk about offense, defense and coaching but it's not going to change the truth. We lost because Purdue wanted the win more than us. It's that simple.
  18. Classic case of a winner being overwhelmed by an overabundance of losers. Often leads to the winner appearing lost and confused. I've seen it before but not to this extent. Something is wrong in Lincoln.
  19. I think the coaches have been saying this all season. Unfortunately the players heard "let's lose, have fun".
  20. I imagine a fan describing the game like this: "We had them 3rd and 25 at their 1 yard line and then Chinander happened". Eventually a pattern forms so you just shorten it to "3rd and Chinander" and everyone knows what happened.
  21. I'm not ready to fire a coach. I go back to how UCF looked with these same coaches. We don't look anything like them. Blockers watching defenders run past them to make an easy tackle, low effort everywhere (thank you announcer for confirming what I've seen). Urb after the game said we've gone from Pelini, Rilely and now Frost and these problems have been present throughout. I don't think the Husker defense under Banker was ranked as high as the Beavers. Same coach, different players. As Urb said, time to look under the hood. Something is going on in Lincoln.
  22. You're not thinking clearly. If you jump into the dredge now, you won't have to use those tickets. The smart play is to jump into the dredge.
  23. Putting Vedral in second half may not have done any good. Damage was already done. Maybe the coaches would have regained some confidence and called more risky plays that could have gone big and opened up the offense again. The missed big plays in the first half doomed this game.
