  1. This is a bad take. We should all value diversity and strive for it at every level. But valuing diversity does not mean a white guy never gets hired. And no intelligent member of administration would ever publicly say that they are looking for someone of a specific race, ethnicity, or sex for any position.
  2. I see they have one of our wins as SE Louisiana. Well, I can guarantee that we will not beat SE Louisiana this year! Who wants to place a bet?
  3. The next AD is either going to have to (A) fire Frost or (B) capitalize off of Frost's success. Maybe the interim stays on through football season until we have a better idea of the likelihood of A or B.
  4. I lived in a hotel just south of Midway for several months quite a few years ago. I wonder if I had been to the same place. The south side was full of hole in the wall joints in rough areas that had amazing gyros and Italian beef. But you know who had better Italian beef sandwiches than anywhere in Chicago (and I’ve tried a lot)? Lincoln’s M&N Sandwich Shop. That place was the best, bar none.
  5. Are they going to put a cap on number of teams from the same conference? 5 teams from the SEC in a 12 team playoff would be a load of crap.
  6. Apologies for derailing the thread, but these look like two little kids trying on suits so they can be ring bearers in their aunt's wedding.
  7. Ok, so we swapped out the SELA game in November for an FCS opponent early in season. This seems okay: we have a chance to start 3-0 and work out some hiccups before the OU game, and get another home game and recruiting visits when the weather is warm and we all still have hope for the season. Plus now we have two bye weeks late in the season. Not bad.
  8. These are great to toss in some buffalo sauce or any other hot wing sauce.
  9. It's the spring game. No one learned a damn thing!
  10. Brendan Jaimes goes to the Chargers in the 5th round.

    Buffalo

His salary multiplies several times overnight, and even if he fails after 3-4 years of raking it in, he can simply get another MAC job or coordinator job making no worse than his previous salary.
  12. I'm as disillusioned and pessimistic as anyone after 4 straight losing seasons and never rising to the hype, but the truth is we have rarely gotten steamrolled. A large part of the frustration is that we have had so many close losses every year where we just couldn't close the deal. 12 of our 20 losses under Frost have been by 8 points or less. Those are all games that could have been decided by a single play. It's not a matter of getting "steamrolled" by Iowa or Wisconsin or any of the other crappy teams that we should have beaten. It's about fixing mistakes and getting our $h!t together.
  13. Incorrect. The top 11 guys at yards per attempt were above 9.5. Those guys' yards per completion were all better than 14. AM's YPA of 7.0 had him sitting at 81st in the country. His yards per completion for the whole season was 9.76! https://www.espn.com/college-football/stats/player/_/table/passing/sort/yardsPerPassAttempt/dir/desc
  14. Just the opposite. This would be an absolute boon for daycares because they get the easy and guaranteed gov't money instead of having to chase down struggling parents to pay their bills. In-home daycare/babysitting may be a different story though.
  15. Yeah, it wasn't bad, but in many ways seemed like a run of the mill crime-action series. In comparison, WandaVision was more creative and outside the box. One thing I did appreciate was focusing on race as a major theme. I know that sort of thing turns off a lot of people when they are just trying to be entertained, but those kind of social issues have not really been directly confronted in this way in much of the MCU (they haven't avoided those issues, Black Panther is a tremendous example of pushing issues forward without being in your face about it, but they have rarely made a direct commentary).
  16. In the late 80s, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game was my absolute favorite. Then my arcade replaced that one in the early 90s with a huge X-Men game (it had two screens and up to six players) that was even better. I pumped tons of quarters into those games.
  17. The J&J shot can be part of a gift pack that also includes Chiefs repeat Super Bowl champion t-shirts.
