  1. I've kind of seen Oregon's recruiting to be about the same as Nebraska's over the past few years. If you're looking specifically at stars. Oregon has had I a couple 5 star recruits according to Rivals, but that's it. It's all about evaluating talent. And I think Nebraska rolls with the best of them.
  2. Of course he deserves in the tourny. They guy won the Heisman and a NC as a starting QB.
  3. I don't know. I'd have to read the full report and get every detail of what happened. Is it worthy of jail time? No. Community service? Yes. But as long as no one got physically hurt lets not blow this out of perportion. Sentence him to community service, a slap on the wrist, tell him to apologize to the young lady, and call it a day. If this was a continuing problem I'd think differently.

The state of Nebraska has great instate talent this year. And DJ is at the top of the list. Nice!

  5. I for one am actually surprised this is a big deal if all he did was flash his junk and nothng else. I mean if he didn't go chasing anyone with it or of the sort I really don't see why it needs to be made a bigger deal than it is. To me it's a slap on the wrist, don't do it again type of situation in my opinion. Making mountains out of mole hills.
  6. So we'd be 8th, right? I know you left them out, but really if you included them A&M was the better team last year.
  7. If people use THE twitter then Quincy can have THE ups. "The" ups sounds like a venereal disease. Not my fault you're not hip with the cool lingo, old man. first time knapp used the word 'hip' without it immediately being followed up with 'pain'.
  8. Nikon or Canon?

I have a Nikon D5000 and I love it. However, my school's entire journalism program swears by Canon (proud sponsor of the NFL). I don't think you can go wrong with either.

You'll be fine with either. They are essentially equivalent systems. I would go actually put my hands on the models you're interested in for each. There are ergonomics differences and, truth be told, those are the biggest deal between the two. Which feels better in your hands and which has the layout you like the best. That is all you need to concern yourself with for what you want to do.

For clarity's sake, I've been shooting Nikon now for a couple decades, but I know both systems well. I would not hesitate to recommend either to a person. There are a few subtle differences in camera capabilities, and specialty lenses, but honest - if you are asking "Nikon or Canon?" then you'll never know, or need to know, the difference. What feels best to you is what you want.

  9. I believe Suh has always had pretty good character. He's done plenty charitable work since becoming an NFL player. Its just when he gets on the field and it time to play, he wants to rip your head off... Sometimes he almost does.
  10. Remember when PJ intercepted that slow Michigan QB and got caught from behind by him? No way our future safeties are gonna let that happen. Speed.

Not mine. Definitely a great video by whomever. Gets me pumped for some football.

  11. Another thing I love about that Texas Big12 championship game is when you watched our D-line, particularly Suh and Crick, they were all business. They barely celebrated that whole game. They. Looked. Pissed... It was business.
  12. Watching that crowd watch the ball is hilarious.
  13. Tell me again how players that we recruited in 2008 are representative of the quality of player that we are recruiting now in 2013? All you have to do is look at the performance of the players at their positions. It is the pattern that has been Pelini's downfall. Getting top notch players year in and year out is imperative. We had no quality first team starters on the D line, no depth at those positions. Also of note, other schools seem to find a way of putting their freshman with ability on the field. Why? Because they are great players. Pelini cannot do that. Also, there just has to be more than one or two quality kids in Nebraska to recruit. Whatever. I like Pelini. The players like Pelini. Who care's if you don't like him. Done.
  14. It honestly doesnt help that he is white. I know it sounds dumb but lets be honest how many white rb's play in the nfl let alone get drafted? I'm not saying that nfl teams wont draft him due to his skin color, but generally speaking black rb's are more athletic and better than white rb's. is that always the case? certainly not, but it is alot of the time, which causes white rb's to get passed by. Okay, if your answer is "no, skin color has nothing to do with it" then just say "no". Because from what you just said I'm not sure if you're relating athleticism and skin color.
  15. So you think because Burkhead is white, that will be why he doesn't get drafted?
  16. Just checked the NFL draft. 174 taken, not one from Nebraska. Tell me again how we are recruiting quality players and how Pelini develops players? You could not be more wrong! It is an embarrassing joke. Well considering it was Pelini's first ever recruiting class... and the fact he still won ten games with that group of seniors last year... and the fact he won 10 games on a brutally tough schedule... I'd say we should have a better team on the field this year. You're thinking too much if you ask me.
  17. When was the last time you saw a white running back drafted? Not full back, running back. Kill me if you will, but it is a factor, just as some recruiting experts thought he was under-stared coming out of high school Toby Gerhart - 2 years ago I believe... I don't buy your excuse. Burkhead lost much of his senior season. If he had that back, this could be totally different.
  18. Missouri? mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I'd rather see them struggle in the SEC. I mean watching them fail is just soooooo much fun.
  19. Anyone else excited for the new 30 for 30 tonight, Elway to Marino? Starts at 7:00.

Should be good. 30 for 30 may be the best thing espn has ever produced.
