  1. We play man and get beat. We play zone we get beat. For me it’s on personnel. They had to convert 2 4th downs on their field goal drive and then 99 yards with no timeouts and a little over 2 minutes left on their TD. I think by the end of the season Cam Taylor is starting.
  2. What about Langsdorf? We had him for 3 years. Please explain how Riley didn’t have enough time or freedom. He was 61 when he accepted the job. He knew what he was getting into.
  3. Except when former/current players are the ones suggesting it.
  4. They’ve made a lot of pro-player changes recently that I’m in favor of but this one just seems dumb.
  5. He still makes a lot of freshman mistakes, but man, Martinez is going to be special. Thought our o-line looked better tonight as well.
  6. Pierre Allen was first-team All-Big 12 in 2010.
  7. 247 composite sure does give out a lot of 4 stars...
  8. Yes, Milton is a special player. Yet people never bring up his freshman year when in his first start he fumbled the ball 6 times and had 4 turnovers or that he had a measly 5.9 ypa for the year. Yes. They were excellent in almost all areas last year. It’s problem that needs to get fixed though. That defense wasn’t bad unless the only games you watched were the USF and CCG. Play calling hasn’t been bad. I see this all the time but no one actually breaks down the film to prove it.
  9. First off what do any of those players have to do with UCF’s 2013 team? They didn’t play. Secondly, I said O’Leary left some good players. BUT, you counted Mike Hughes twice since he was in as a CB and PR but he was a juco Frost recruit. Griffin was a 3rd string safety when Frost got there. Do you think maybe those juniors/seniors have a huge leg up on guys that have been in a college lifting/nutrition program for 2 years less than them? They had 20 freshman/sophomores, 15 juniors, and 12 seniors on their two deep. That was a young team.
  10. Any player that was on both that 2013 team and 2017 team would have been a freshman that was redshirting. Yes, Frost got some great players from O’Leary but he only started 6 total seniors and IIRC had 18 of his own recruits in the 2-deep in 2017. He rehauled the the roster not unlike what he’s doing here.
  11. Ehh...I wouldn’t say that disproves what MC is saying. Might’ve made her point stronger. edited- sorry MC
  12. Old Dominion opened up their season with a 42 point loss to Liberty. At 0-3 they beat 13th ranked Virginia Tech with a backup QB by two scores. The parity in CFB is too small to walk into a game expecting an easy win. You half arse your effort you lose. Do it against a good team like Michigan and you get spanked. The sooner the players learn becoming a winner isn’t easy the better.
  13. They rename their school from FCS Southeast? Yea I remember them.
  14. Another thing that made the OL look bad (as far as the passing game goes) is that IMO Bunch was holding the ball too long. One of Frost’s big things he wants in a QB is quick decision making. We seemed to be ok faking a run to suck in the LBs. That should lead to some easier throws but Bunch wasn’t seeing them. Maybe it was his indecisiveness or maybe just a lack of reps and timing with the offense.
  15. Maybe I’m remembering wrong but it looked like the Troy player gave up before the whistle blew. Edit- Or at least before the ref signaled possession.
  16. F/B/F Offense was pretty inept. Only scored 19 points and turned the ball over 3 times. Defense was the bright spot for me. IDT we looked quite as energized as we were against Colorado but only giving up 17 points should win you a game and the offense didn’t help us here at all. Losing Barry hurt. I understand by rule it’s a targeting but I just wish they would redo the rule to add in what the offensive player is doing and intent of the defender. Honas missed a tackle on each of their rushing TDs. Edit- didn’t occur to me you meant both games not just the Troy game
  17. I mistakenly used the NFL formula but your math is still wrong. It would be 149.87 using the NCAA formula. And yes before the final drive and int.
  18. I’m not offended and don’t believe you were trying to bully him, I just think starting a thread like this right after the loss is in poor taste. Especially with the overreactions that come from HB after a loss.
  19. I don’t think Bunch played well but starting a thread to mock his play seems a bit overboard.
  20. 101.58 passer rating. Your math is off somewhere.
  21. 1. What? No wonder people say Husker fans live in the past. 2. Obviously not. 3. Yea. Same as how Osborne depended on Frazier/Frost’s running ability. That’s the point of option.
