The coach that recruited him was fired, but the biggest impact of that coach was essentially KJJ, Gebbia, and the recruiting footprint they developed.

Kid still never has to work a day in his life. Hope he finds the happiness he seemed to possess during his recruitment. He'll always be a part of the new era of Husker football in his own way.

As much as this non-conference scheduling 25 years out gives fans existential dread, aren't schedules much more malleable when your team is good? Like Wisconsin is always playing someone big somewhere cool, was that done when they weren't this good? Oklahoma is nice, as was Oregon, but getting a big time SEC program on the schedule would be fantastic. Otherwise, call up every team in the AAC to fill other spots in the future.

The little things about the entire staff shift are fascinating. Like being sure the coaches get all their Husker gear. Not all coaches are in Lincoln, like the one above, so the rollout of swag is impressive. Frost was even wearing Adidas when he showed up Sunday morning. If they coach the bowl, will they be in non-marked clothes? Adidas gear in UCF colors?

They were woefully run down at the ends (and, at times, starts) of games last season. They are in for the toughest adjustment to the speed and demands of a Frost offense.

Something to note is how new the entire offense will be to the B1G. Don't be surprised if they win some games they shouldn't to start the year and lose one's they should win.

The "waiting to the end of the year" quote was interesting. Nebraska did wait until the the of their year. If UCF's next hire www.huskerboard.comor is even announced sooner rather than later, it wouldn't be out of realm of possibility that White gave Frost an ultimatum. Sign my extension or go. Even White's comments about it only being about the pull of his alma mater speak to this. It would explain a lot if White called Frost's bluff and he wasn't bluffing or, at least, wasn't ready to sign with him. The Huskers held no power outside of their desire to have Frost coach.

With a choice and target so clear, many ADs would have said too much, too little, or tried to get too creative. Moos was a total pro through this whole thing. Say what you will, but Nebraska got their #1 choices in their past two coaching searches.

It's totally understandable. His dream job opened maybe a year or two before he really wanted to think about taking it. He's having the time of his life in Orlando. He's taking the dream job because it's exactly that. Part of what makes Frost such a great coach is his ability to relate and connect with his players. He's coming off of that now and the Huskers get that beginning tomorrow. It's OK to enjoy this. Feels weird, but we are allowed!
