  1. I'm OK with Rhule. If it is him, i kind of want him to keep some of the current staff (MJ and Busch for sure)
  2. I think the offensive output has been affected. Frost was/is a pretty good OC. The real problem was Chin's Defense. Bush has them playing MUCH better. Granted it hasn't been against great offenses, but they are playing better.
  3. I would be willing to take a chance on Kalen Deboer.
  4. I don't think there is much smoke for this hire (Gundy), but he would be intersting.
  5. O'Brien is not my first choice, but I would take him as well. He has proven that he can win in college. Maybe not a NC, but will compete for division and conference champs.
  6. Never cared for the all red or all white for that matter. Not that my opinion matters. I do like the traditional style of red on white for home and white on red for road.
  7. Most of the time, from what i can remember, the DC usually focuses on a position. Carl Pelini was the D-line coach and DC. So was Papuchis. I think most places have this arrangement.
  8. I'm with TGHusker. Campbell is a meh hire. I think he would be stable and consistent, but not win enough for everyone. He sounds more like a MR hire. IF MJ can start to turn the team around this year, keep him but definitely get a different DC. As much as I don't like Urban, he would probably be the top target to get back to winning. There are a few other coaches that I would give a chance before Campbell though. I like Leipold at KU, Klieman at KSU, Chadwell at CC, Stoops at UK (don't think he will leave), O'Brien has won with less (NFL makes him lower), and I like Herman (but he seems like Frost). There are more and these are not listed in any particular order. I just want someone who will win instantly or someone who will build OL and DL so that they CAN start to win. my two cents
  9. You could always bump Farah Fawcett. I mean she is dead.
  10. I very much want Frost to succeed. The story line is too awesome. Past performance being indicative, Frost probably wont survive this season. And that is a shame.
  11. This is the worst part about watching them play. It's also what will probably get Frost fired.
  12. I think Doeren, Klieman, or Chadwell could be successful here. My preference would be Chadwell, Doeren, then Klieman. From the highlighted ones. I wouldn't be afraid to try and get Sitake either. I just don't think he would come here.
  13. Of these, i think only the highlighted ones would come here.
  14. Nebraska wins but doesn't cover. Historically Nebraska is paid against the spread (-22).
  15. From where we have been the last 5+ years, let's take some baby steps and win some games first. Not trying to be a douche.
  16. I'm not saying we would get Meyer or that I even want him here, but he would be a good get. Again, if Frost can right the ship, I would rather get someone who is stable and runs an offense more conducive to the BIG. Maybe even more important would be someone who can build a defense that is consistent.
  17. Early in the game he was able to push Zoronski and get close to the QB. Never had true pressure on him, but didn't do bad. As the game went on, he just wore out.
  18. I don't like Meyer as a person, but as a coach I would take him. I would hope that he would leave in 2-3 years. That would minimize the trouble he would cause. But in that time he would bring the team back to the top 15 at least. The coaches that follow him (other than Florida) tend to do well also. These are win win situations. Now if Frost can turn the ship around, that's even better. We wouldn't have to worry about all of the extraneous stuff.
  19. I question this. Most of the coaches that everyone wants are currently coaching. we wouldn't know if "got" him until after the season (most likely bowl season as well). Even then, they could leave for someplace else if they wanted. It's happened before with some coaches. Get hired at one school, then hired by a different school, and never actually coach at the first school. I'm not saying that it happens often, but it has happened.
