  1. Possibly Farrar? Wasn't he thought to be a possible plan B for Fitz?
  2. FLU FLU and GOAT are the same person, aren't they? Both from Louisiana. Both use all caps. Both use short single word monikers. Both have grumpy, disagreeable dispositions. To add to the thread, I'm pretty pleased with the way this class turned out. Wish we wouldn't have missed out on our last few targets but so it goes. Not sure I could put any of that blame on the coaches, seems like they did the best they could to get those guys here. Hopefully no DT's doesn't come back to bite us.
  3. Michigan's gonna be scary good in the next couple years

Harbaugh's doing a really, really good job.

It will be interesting to see how long Harbaugh stays at Michigan. He didn't really want to leave the Pros. If a plumb NFL head coaching opportunity comes. Will he jump ship?

  4. As classless as tricking a school into thinking you're going to sign with them, only to back out at the last second. Karma's a b as they say. They Fitzpatricked, Fitzpatrick!
  5. Where you seeing this? https://twitter.com/Dr_ChaseAllen/status/693174442248249349?s=09 Blessed to announce I have decided to continue end my athletic career at Iowa State University! #AStormIsBrewing Fixed it for him
  6. Hope Fitz is understanding about that. Maybe a sign they think/or know that Fitz is in the fold? Perhaps, but couldn't you say the same for Louisville's antics last night? I don't believe it to be true, but I'm just saying it's no different really. Not necessarily. Do we know if Petrino was visiting another recruit or if he just "didn't make it"?
  7. So what you're saying is, he wasn't good enough?
  8. I'm definitely still not sold on this team but I'm not sure I'm any more sold on MSU
  9. My normal 15 minute commute to work was a hr and 15 minute commute this morning. So fun.

Yup. 20-30 minute commute turned into 1 hour 45 minutes. Fortunately I came home to see a neighbor had snow blowed my driveway and sidewalk. Thank you to them and time to pay it forward

My wife teaches in MO Valley. She told that the Iowa Side of Highway 30 was clear and the Nebraska side was terrible.

  10. Just Andy Reid being Andy Reid. No surprise here.
  11. How much of that has to do with this? Not sure Urban had a choice for some of these changes. http://www.nj.com/rutgersfootball/index.ssf/2016/01/ohio_state_a_heavily_influence_as_rutgers_coach_ch.html
  12. Yep, plus if you die right away guess who gets to keep your money. I think the annuity payments can be passed on to heirs, now, but the cash payout is way better. The annuity payment is basically an annuity with 3.7% annual interest. Huh, didn't know the annuity could be passed on to heirs. That's not bad for a guaranteed rate but like you said, you'd be much better off taking the lump sum and investing it. You could live very comfortably off the interest alone, most years.
  13. Didn't realize we just beat Indiana 79-69 and Minny just lost to Maryland 88-63
  14. Yep, plus if you die right away guess who gets to keep your money. But I'll gladly partake!

If I were him I'd be the first one on the bus.

  15. While all that's true, there does seem to be some disconnect between the university and in state players (goes for fb too). Yes, the competition isn't as good in Nebraska but it seems like just bc a kid is from here, a lot of times they are automatically thrown into a category of "not as good", regardless of how good they are. I didn't realize what state you were born in made a difference in your talent.
  16. UCLA fans are just like Miami fans, why you would ever want to go play for a team with such a fickle fan base is beyond me.
  17. Seems a little ridiculous but it'd be awesome if this guy was successful. Anybody with half a brain knows what's going on in Oxford, especially when you have players tweeting stuff like this (for those who don't know, this was while he was on his visit):
  18. Anybody here watch It's Always Sunny? Last night's episode was hilarious.

I love that show. Haven't seen last nights episode yet though. Have it recorded. I read it had to do with CharDee MacDennis though. Glad it made a comeback.

amazing show. hit a lull after season 5, but the last couple have been pretty good. i missed last nights.

Yep it was all about CharDee MacDennis, best adult game ever haha. I def agree that the more recent seasons haven't been quite as good. I thought last nights was one of the better episodes they've done in quite awhile.

  19. If nothing else I look forward to hopefully having a serviceable backup behind Tommy.
  20. I also really like that quote as it sounds like he realizes some of those losses were due purely to poor coaching, as he said self-indicting, not self-indicating.
  21. So If I'm the CEO of a major corporation getting paid millions of dollars to teach my subordinates, make wise management decisions, including hiring the best assistants I can to more effectively run my corporation but I'm failing to do that, am I not deserving of criticism? Is the person criticizing me "entitled"? Look nobody is expecting a dominant Nebraska team but it would be nice to see a team that looks like they understand very basic, fundamental basketball. I was pretty excited when Miles was hired, since then, I'm not so sure. I've never played or coached basketball at a high level but I do have an understanding of how the game is played and just watching some of the things this team does or doesn't do leaves me dumbfounded. I really think we sorely miss Craig Smith.
