  1. How much better do you think we should expect them to be? 8 games last year we scored on our first drive. Of the 5 we didn't, several games we scored on our second drive. No team does it every single game. It seemed like we improved in this area quite a bit last year compared to previous years, so Redux may be remembering it more as a whole. On that same token, hopefully this isn't the same team that comes out on fire for a drive or two at the beginning of the game, looking like they're going to roll, only to get rolled shortly there after.

  3. Never in my life have I been so lost and confused after an entire season of a tv show. I still don't even know what the actual plot was supposed to be.
  4. Not totally correct. The defense is what determines what route the WR runs, so the QB should be able to say, if they are in a 2 high look, the WR is running this route or if they are blitzing from this side and playing cover 3 over the top they run this route, etc. That's a major simplification but the idea is that you shouldn't ever have to stare down receivers to know where they are going. You read the defense, you know where your receiver 'should' be going. I was having a conversation with a friend about this a few days ago. I understand the QB and WR both are supposed to read the defense but how often did one of them make the wrong, or even different read than the other? It seemed like that happened quite a bit last year. I can think of a couple instances where that happening attributed to a couple of those TA "almost picks" that defenders dropped. The question I have is how much of that was TA's fault and how much was the WR's?
  5. I'm kind of surprised we haven't heard more about Tanner Farmer. I really thought his name would be getting thrown around quite a bit with all the hype last year.
  6. Top couple in the nation? Not a chance. Top couple in the B1G? Possibly. That was my thought. Generally a top 2 safety in the country won't make a play like this. I don't care how great you are but if you give an effort like this then that drops you way down the list. Disagree. Maybe not at the very top but I think Gerry has a very impressive year. To the OP hopefully Mandel is wrong or we are going to be in for a very rough season.
  7. I did it about 3 years ago and it wasn't as "regulated". I've heard its gotten worse since then and I know some of the places we climbed up to would not be allowed today. There were signs to stay on the trails but we ventured off and did our own thing. Luckily there was very few people around when we went. I get what you're saying though, I would have a much different opinion if we would've had to stay on the trails. Kind of takes some of the fun out of it when you can't explore and what not. Haven't done Barr Trail but it's definitely on my list for Colorado.
  8. I've done it once and it took me about a hour and a half too. Garden of the Gods is one of my favorite places to hike in that area.
  9. I'm about halfway through Orange is the New Black. It's okay. Not as good as the first season. Haven't started House of Cards yet. If you want a recommendation, I'd suggest: "Marco Polo". It's good! That is, it's good if you like neked Chinese chicks and violence. Finished Orange is the New Black a couple weeks ago. It was decent but def not as good as Season 1 or 2. Ruby Rose though...dear gawd.
  10. While he did do well at UCONN, lets not pretend like the Big East was some offensive juggernaut. The Big East was a bottom of the barrel FBS conference. I'm on the fence until I see how he does with some actual competition.
  11. FIFY. I wouldn't mind more flexible scheduling but as good as it may be for the team to have a cupcake that late in the season, I have no desire to see that as a fan.
  12. 100% agree. I don't hate them but get rid of all the unnecessary busyness and its a really good uni. Really wish they would do a better job incorporating the school colors as the main ones.
  13. A tribute to our heritage? They are taking my idea of modernized throwbacks! Looks like we're stealing Spiderman's costume material for our jerseys
  14. That's what I was about to post. I've spent more than my fair share of time and money there and bout the most I've ever gotten out of it is a few bucks off food or $10 gambling vouchers in the mail.
  15. Somebody has got to get after the qb from the edge. Marcus Newby
  16. Some comments from Michigan recruits/commits on switching to Nike. Pretty telling if you ask me. http://nebraska.247sports.com/Article/A-look-at-Nebraskas-uniform-conundrum-38125208

Took me awhile to figure this out since someone was on ignore

  19. I realize he would have to have quite the career to ever be in the same breath but he honestly reminds me of John Lynch
  20. It's weird how perspective can change so fast. Do you think we were that jaded in the middle of it, and are only now seeing clearly, or do you think as a fanbase we're still in a bit of a reactionary "f u" phase? Obviously Bo was not evil incarnate, there's too much evidence that he can be a good, grounded guy, so I'm really interested what perception will be like in 5-10 years. I don't doubt we'll still be happy that he's not here, but he might end up being looked at more fondly as time goes on. I think a big part of that will hinge on how well Riley does/does not do. If Riley keeps the status quo or takes us to the next level, I don't think opinions of Bo change too much. If Riley flounders and the team seems to regress, people will be missing BP and clamoring about what a mistake it was to fire him.

  22. Those are my thoughts too, just makes it all the sweeter when they win . Never stayed there but the Venetian is quite nice - also, Congrats! We're staying at the Cosmo. Cosmo prices have come down a lot. I was looking for a place that had a decent pool area. I am too old and unhip for Cosmo's pool scene. Yea they're real reasonable. The pool scene is a big part of the reason we're stayin there. Actually have tickets for pool parties Sunday and Monday.
