That was a really enjoyable read. Kudos to Mgoblog. The QB Dilithium scale with Navarre being a 1 Denard a 10 caused me to laugh a lot harder than I should have. I'm still chuckling about it. Do you guys remember Navarre in college? He made Tanner Lee look like Crouch! If nothing else it was good to see another fan base dread what's potentially coming down the pike. After rewatching SMU/UM on BTN Football in 60 and watching James Proche from SMU run wild like Hulkamania out of the slot/motion I'm officially all in on JD this week on my CFB DFS teams. Plus he's crazy cheap at $4100!?! $4100! That's nuts!

It's close...I'd probably That '15 MSU defense was pretty darn good with Calhoun/McDowell/Heath on the D-Line although I'm not sure any of those guys have quite the top end wrecking power of Gary. Winovich is similar to Calhoun. Where UM I think has the edge is at LB and the secondary. That MSU team didn't have anything that resembles Devin Bush. I watched quite a bit of the SMU/UM game and I'm holding out some hope as SMU was able to move the ball quite a bit on UM. It's going to take a herculean effort from the O-Line to have a shot. On Offense, I still don't think Patterson is anything special. I'll be curious to see what the total is. A few bucks on the under might be the play.

I think the most apt comparison on things like tempo, vertical routes, etc would be to watch UCF's 2016 offense and see how it progressed over the year as they transitioned from O'Leary's offense. I admittedly didn't watch too much UCF outside of the Bortles BCS bowl season but I though O'Leary ran a similar offense as Riley (I could be completely wrong obviously). If we try to use the 2017 offense as a benchmark, we're in for a whole lotta disappointment.

Let's not forget Bosa's dad is an ex NFL'er too. Those dudes have monster work ethic no doubt, it helps when you hit the genetic lotto too. To stay on topic: As I'm sure many mentioned, Mo Washington has some serious, serious juice. He and Martinez are going to be a zone read nightmare in the future. U 57.5 was absolute lock city Hard to take much away from the offense as Bunch played like...well a walk-on 3rd string QB.

This is a fair point for sure. Early in my recruiting career, I worked a lot of positions where recent college grads were highly desirable and I got the chance to talk with quite a few UNL grads. It seemed like it was a mixed bag with how much/little career services prepared them (probably dependent on which person helped them). The majority of the grads I spoke with had at least gotten a bit of advice but you could tell it was given from folks who hadn't been in the real business world for a long, long time (if ever.)

@seaofred92 Another potential avenue you could take would be to have your brother reach out to a recruiting firm that specializes in recruiting for the verticals he's looking for and asking one of the top recruiters there for some advice. It may only cost your brother the price of a cup of coffee or lunch (I personally would offer but that's just me) but it might give him the leg up in interviews. On an additional note, if the recruiter you find works with lots of recent college grads it may open up an additional pipeline of jobs for your brother.

While I totally get where you're coming from CU still has to play Washington and Utah who both have hellish defenses. I'd be more worried about something terrible happening to Montez this year (especially against Utah).

Disagree about being comparable to CU. I don't see anyone on Troy that is capable of giving NU fits like the top 2 CU WRs. Troy is also breaking in a new QB as their 4 yr starter graduated although he has at least gotten a taste of action. There's a chance my perception of Troy is colored by the fact they got handled by Boise pretty easily in their season opener and I'm discounting that Boise got 3 TDs due to defensive TDs or a short field off a turnover.

I personally love the 11a kickoffs if I'm not going to the game as it allows me to get stuff done after the game (full disclosure I wake up super early regardless for work during the week and soccer watching purposes on the weekend). Have to think the crowd won't be fully lubricated for the early start either.

Message boards are kinda like social media to a certain extent in that they make up a very small overall percentage of the overall fan base/users and putting any stock into what the vocal minority of those users says is a fruitless exercise.

5-1 and frankly I feel miffed to not be 6-0. The over was definitely the right side. 1-1 on random bets with Cincy pending and I'm tickled to have it at +3 versus +1.

Front 7 looked pretty good. Crazy that NU has hit 25% of last year's sack total already. A couple unfortunate mistakes in the secondary at the end. Martinez is gonna be a stud down the road. He made some predictable freshman mistakes. Lots of Nebraska shooting Nebraska in the foot today. Shenault from CU is an absolute animal. Definitely would've been nice to get the first game jitters out of the way against Akron where the early fumbles probably doesn't put Nebraska in a 14-0 hole.

Trying to slot in a Nebraska guy or two for my CFB DFS teams and the only guy I can seem to fit in is Mike Williams at $4200 (Draftkings). Don't get me wrong, Morgan and JD are great, they're just expensive. Stan is $8500 while Hollywood Brown from OU is $7700 and I'd rather have Shenault at $5700 vs JD at $6800. I'd love it if we knew somehow that Miles Jones was going to get a fair bit of run since he's min priced. I personally think NU wins a tight one 38-34, something like that. It wouldn't shock me if CU got off to a hot start and NU made some key 2H adjustments to slow them down.
