  1. This x10. When your best player at any position group isn’t happy then before long it starts to effect everyone around him. We’re at the stage right now that it’s imperative that the leaders of our team all are in the same page and have the same goal in mind
  2. This should be great for recruiting
  3. I agree with what you’re saying, I know high school is different than D1 big time college football but we had a kid at olb last year that was a head hunter big play waiting to happen when he was on the field, unfortunately we didn’t know if it was going to be for us or the other team. We had to put him in (due to injury)during crunch time in a district game that was also for the league championship. The opposition ran an option and instead of taking the pitch man who was his responsibility, he crushed the qb who made the pitch and they scored with less than 15 seconds left, we lost. Moral of the story is that it’s hard to Go away from a sure thing for a possible splash play unless you’ve planned out a perfect time for said splash play. I think Frost needs to really work on when he plays guys so they don’t burn a redshirt. I feel like that was mismanaged last year as he only played guys 1 or 2 snaps a game and imo that’s a waste
  4. It’s crazy to believe that guys Bo offered are still eligible to play college ball. It seems like it’s been forever ago since Bo was let go and Riley was brought in. Shows even more why our program was in shambles. It’s hard to be a winner when there’s no stability at the head coach position
  5. Big reason why our whole offense was pretty much a mess and in all honesty probably was a big reason why we were so swing pass heavy. Also shows why our starter and backup QB got hurt
  6. He’s a potential nfl caliber player at what last year was an incredibly weak pianoforte the team. I’m sure Frost and his staff were willing to try to reach him and get him on the same page as them. Plus it sounds like maybe he wasn’t a cancer until after the season had started
  7. The fact JD is still in the state of Nebraska and not back home is a good sign imo
  8. I think Purdue is huge because we need a fast start, but I have fear of another slow start due to how young we still are soI voted Iowa, that’s a game the last two years we have been in a position to win and just haven’t been able to finish, a win over them late in the year to me is a huge sign of progression.
  9. Do they call them spoonbill anywhere else besides here in Southeast Kansas and northeast Oklahoma?
  10. I think you're right, but if that happens I don't expect us to see a huge jump in the win column this year but next year will be huge. Frost's first recruiting class was done in such a short period of time, it's hard to believe that the overall quality of those recruits are as high as his last two classes have been. If that's the case, then we are still a year or two of development away before true potential begins to be met
  11. I think these kind of things are going to reel in some commits!
  12. I think we will, bri going in two receivers tgat can take the top off of the defense forces those safeties to actually cover they’re deep haves which in turn opens up the middle. If linebackers vacate due to a blitz or a run read then the quick slant or sit down could be there. If not then the skinny post right behind them could be there.
  13. Goodnight I hope you’re wrong! But if he plays the corners as deep against Nebraska as he did when coached the buskers, then our bubble screen game should be pretty darn successful!
  14. Don't you have to have superior talent to pound a team into submission? You cant just line up with the top tier teams and pound them into submission. When is the last time someone has pounded Alabama, Ohio St, and Clemson into submission. I guess you could bring up how LSU throttled Clemson in the NC game, but they did that with Joe Burrow the number one draft pick and Heisman winner at QB. And if I remember correctly he set all kinds of passing records after they hired a new passing coordinator. We don't have superior talent to pound most teams into submission and never will unless we find other ways to win games. There is a reason everyone runs RPOs. Frost's playbook really isnt that large. He changes formations to see how the defense aligns, and then attempts to take advantage of the alignments. That is what everyone who is successful does. But obviously we should just line up in the I formation and run the veer, counter, and inside trap exclusively and will be the best in the west in no time at all!
  15. I think most people believe he does get it. He’s recruited some absolute monsters for the offensive line. Big tall long kids that if they dedicate themselves in the weight room will be a solid group. I don’t think the question is wether or not Frost gets it, but if his staff can develop the recruits and get them to reach their potential
  16. That is what Virginia Techs program was built on when Frank Beamer was the coach. And he used that to propel the program into a year in and year out top 25 team. I also wonder how much different our kicking game would have looked if Pickering wouldn’t have gotten hurt. I think that injury had more impact on the season than one might initially think. Play calling might have been different and maybe we would have won another game or two and we’d be looking at last season in a little bit different light
  17. What’s wrong with you? Everyone knows that at Nebraska the back up QB is always the best on the roster!
  18. I work in a small rural county in se ks. We have a little under 9,000 people in 500 square miles. We’re an hour south of Kansas City where a large portion of our residents commute for work. Most of us have what are considered essential jobs and we’ve only had 5 confirmed cases. 1 of which was a lady who was in her 60s. She was our first confirmed case and the only one to go to the hospital at all. She was released in less than 24 hours and made a full recovery. The vast majority of the people who have succumb to Covid have had underlying conditions. Huskerfans post about the nurse in New York is tragic, but I imo ( which I know means squat) those instances are few and far between, and more the exception then the rule. 10 years ago I had a cousin in his early 30s die from the flu. It was tragic but definitely not the norm. I just don’t see how completely shutting down the football season and then those schools losing out on the revenue is feasible. I totally understand why they’re considering it and won’t ever question anyone who is looking out for the safety of others, especially our youth. But I think they need to make sure to make good informed decisions and not rush it. Schools are already cutting athletic programs which in turn means kids lose out on getting some or all of their education paid for. I’m scared either way it’ll be a slippery slope that a lot of schools and athletic departments won’t be able to recover from.
  19. Could have something with the fact that when it comes to drama from close games there really wasn’t any. The only drama was crap off the field and they don’t want to highlight or focus on that
  20. Even though Martinez is injury prone the coaches can’t decide not to play Luke in that capacity if they believe he will help win games. Every player has a chance to get hurt on every play and yes while some positions tend to have a higher chance of injury, you still have to do what it takes to win games. They need to play whoever wherever to give the team the best chance to win games
  21. I don’t see him going anywhere unless it’s either A. a program that is so top tier he can’t refuse or B. He realizes the talent he has recruited isn’t going to pan out so he has to strike while the irons hot The schools in the big ten make so much money that it’ll take an unbelievable offer to buy him away from Minnesota
  22. The real question is what kind of puppy?
  23. Is there a limit on how many analysts a team can have?
