Really, would you have said that in the T.O. days when it wasn't at all unusual for our QB's to run through defenders? If his mindset is to run through the defender then let him run through defenders. Especially if it motivates our backs to do the same. Gotta get away from this mindset that QB's are fragile. Wish a T.O. era player would comment about T.O's "good on good" practices (Umm.. Benning you around?) and if the QB's wore green jersey's in those scrimmages. How often do we hear it said that players get hurt when going only half speed so, lower your frame and dish out the blow. Besides, it sounds to me that HH enjoys that physical style of running. I think most of the offensive's woes are mental. Yes fumbles happen but not being mentally sound often results in error. Throwing into coverage, not keeping the ball high and tight (way to much loose exposing while running). Correct the mental part and the errors will be reduced. As for should Sims get this start. IMO, if he's healthy, yes and if his struggle continues then make a change but yes, first home game against an opponent you should dominate at most positions, yep.. give Sims the start without a leash. Short leashing him will just cause anxiety. Tell him it's his time to shine and build him up.

Win or Lose Prime's stock rising, Rhule's stock slipped a little. I still think Rhule was the right choice for us. Prime will leave at the first SEC or FSU offer.

The officiating is much more biased against us than most on this board will admit. B1G is the most corrupt conference in all sports and that corruption includes it's officials.

I hate that I can say this but I've said it time and again. Nebraska is not officiated fairly by B1G officials. How many more video evidences are needed before all you nay sayers actually realize the truth. In every big 10 game we are playing against both the opponent and the officials.

My gut is telling me he won't commit until after the Minnesota game. I think he and those he trust are wanting to see how our line performs against Minny. If the line play shows promise I think he's N, if the line is what it's been, well... likely headed south. Just my gut feeling but I think the announcement comes before the Colorado game.

I have a confession to make... You see, I'm aging and well.. my ticker can't take much more of my adolescent anger outbursts. (Yeah, I yell at the TV often) So, for the betterment of my health (and my heart) I've been avoiding watching games for the last 3 years live. Instead, record and watch only after knowing the outcome. Yes it's a pathetic way to claim being a fan but honestly for health reasons and my own sanity I had too. I'm right there with you. I've been saying all along 6 wins (7th in the bowl) and though our reasons differ I try to be optimistic. I think we are the 3rd best west division team. However, I see the timing of the Illinois game as a rather challenging hurdle. I believe the Huskers are more talented and more experienced but Illinois is catching the skers at the worst possible time so I see that as a loss even though I believe the huskers are more talented. Most are ready to pencil Maryland in as a loss but it's a home game and memorial will be rocking so unlike Illinois the outlook to me isn't as challenging. Still, the optimism in me sees a bowl victory finally happening.

Pessimistic much? I mean wow!!! Curious, with an outlook as dreadful as yours can you even get excited if they win?

Specifically, the "bad calls"... the B1G officiating will again show it's ugly head if need be in the game. There isn't any chance in hell the game will be officiated fairly. The B1G offices will ensure that. The officiating will be incredibly bias in favor of Michigan because 1. they're one of the originals and 2. they're projected to be a playoff team. The B1G is the most corrupt conference in all of college sports as evident by the never ending scandals. There simply isn't a more blatantly corrupt group of universities than the OG's of the B1G. Mark my word, if the Michigan game is close in the 4th the officials will again determine the outcome. (Yes, I despise this conference and the greed & politics involved in it.

I have us winning the Minnesota game because their o-line is completely new while our defensive line and backers have more experience. Also, Minnesota has limited film to use for preparation. Our strength (defense) vs their projected weakness (o-line). Hence the win. I have the Colorado game a toss up because I think Deion, though will have his team ready to play TCU, realistically sees the the Nebraska game as a bigger game for Colorado than TCU and unlike Minnesota, Prime and company will have at least a full game of tape on us. Hence the "toss up".
