  1. Was anybody else thinking Ramir Johnson was going to pop through and take it all the way on his first carry? He looks like he has tons of potential
  2. Well... plenty to work on but it was so satisfying to see this team run away with a game. Let's do it again next wk
  3. This offense definitely has big play ability. Just need to find the ability to pick up 5 yds at a time and sustain drives
  4. Crazy day in college football already. Maryland goes down Colorado goes down Illinois loses to Eastern Michigan And right now UCF is sexually assaulting Stanford all over the field
  5. Martinez hopefully, but also hopefully Washington. Would love to see consistency in the run game
  6. KANSAS!!! Phenomenal win for Les Miles

Fat lady done sung on this one.  Good for Miles and the Jayhawks

  7. UNC definitely should have had 1 second. A hail Mary is a long shot but they should have had a chance at least. But another mack brown game of poor end of game management, and shame on the RB for not going straight out of bounds. And gotta say, it's pretty cool to see the mad hatter having success at Kansas. This will be a huge win if they can close out BC. 41-24 now
  8. To be completely fair, there are not many great games this weekend.
  9. I believe it was the very first play of the year they showed that look (UNDER CENTER IIRC!!!) with Mills at FB and Wandale at HB and ran a toss play. I don't believe we've seen it since.
  10. I know it's not their style, but I'd love to see Frost incorporate a fullback in his offense, especially in short yardage situations. Sometimes they set up the TE as a lead blocker in the backfield, but it's not as effective IMO
  11. I think Frost and his staff have made a lot of mistakes since they've been here, and they've battled a lot of adversity that maybe they didn't face at UCF. But at the same time, I see them as being aware of their mistakes and working to correct them. Frost is a young coach still, and as long as he and his assistants continue to be self-aware and acknowledge their mistakes, I think the sky is the limit for this team under Frost's leadership.
  12. Isn't that what it's about? Consistency in execution? I don't think we have elite talent like Clemson or Bama (yet) but we're plenty talented enough to be able to absolutely demolish CU, yet it didn't happen even though we had them on the ropes. That's 99% mentality. That's "knowing how to win"
  13. With all the talk about "What's wrong with the team?" I think the most important answer gets left unsaid. While people point to the run game (big problem), AM not finding open receivers (big problem), O-Line under-performing (big problem), I'd say the biggest thing this team has to figure out is... HOW TO WIN Anyone who has played and/or coached at a high level in any sport knows that WINNING is a skill that has to be learned, and it's maybe one of the most difficult things to instill in a team. To get from where we are now to where we want to be, it's going to take a group of real leaders who can drag the team through the mud at difficult stretches in games so we can start winning close games again, as well as instilling a killer instinct so they can go for the jugular when we're up by a couple scores and not let the other team get back into to game. Obviously the technique, scheme, and controlled aggression of the players need to continue to improve and that will create more wins in the future, but in games when things aren't going as well as they should, the will and skill to win games needs to come through. I believe we've finally got the right coach & staff for the job - Let's remember where this program was at 20 months ago, and not over-react when things aren't turning around quite as fast as we'd like.
  14. I bet we have more NFL talent than you're giving credit for. Problem is, the older ones learned how to lose from MR, and the younger ones are... young... and I'm not sure how many we have on the OL which is a major issue and has been for quite some time.
  15. I won't lie, i put this loss 90% on the offense. They needed to come out in the 2nd half and step on CU's throat and couldn't... defense held up for a while but i thought they got tired because they were on the field so much.
  16. I can't say it's a new thing I've learned, but i find it interesting when people who have absolutely no idea what they're talking about criticize the play calling... If the EXACT SAME play calls went for nice gains, people would be praising the play calling. The difference is in mentality primarily, and execution as a result
  17. Did anybody else see the INT at the end of regulation as OBVIOUS pass interference?

No it wasn't. Bootle's should have been automatically flagged as he never turned to look for the ball. The CU DB was looking for the ball and in position to make the play, he just also happened to be holding onto our guy (who was also holding on to him).

Agree with Landlord. In real time, the initial one with the INT looked worse. But the textbook would probably say Bootles as he didn’t even make an attempt to see the ball.

      Many, many people.

None of whom are credentialed college football officials, unfortunately.

  18. 1. When you can't run between the tackles effectively AT ALL, it makes it hard to be efficient on offense, no matter how good your skill players and QB are. 2. Defense got burned some in the 2nd half, but i blame the offense. 2nd week in a row the D gets left out there and gets worn down 3. I miss Devine Ozigbo

I'm a high tech guy in a fast-paced world.  I don't have the time for every page on HB to load 14% slower.

  20. As long as someone is getting adequate protein with the proper amino acid profile, I'd back it. If you're interested in the science behind LCHF, find the YouTube channel LowCarbDownUnder. Lots of great videos with scientific info.
  21. What I saw was Mills not following his blocks very well.
  22. Bill Moos... What a BOSS! Love that guy!
