I'd buy that 2020 Roadster if I was a rich guy with money to blow.  Not really practical but 0-to-60 in 1.9 seconds is something I'd love to experience.

Yes. Lifetime ownership costs less than any comparable ICE vehicle. And unless you're planning on lots of long road trips, the car has plenty of range. 

@mrandyk, Tesla actually has better resale value than other cars in it's class. Even at end of life the batteries will still have >80% of their initial capacity. Plus battery costs are going down very fast. The magic number to be cheaper than ICE vehicles is $100/kWh, which is projected to happen in 2022-2023 based on current trends.
