  1. I hate people that use 100 words and say nothing . He spews out more gibberish than a Kirby vacuum salesman.
  2. Frost invited Osborne to speak at a UCF function. There’s videos of it on YouTube. Osborne understands commitment and continuity more than anyone and it doesn’t seem to be in his nature to try and sway Frost from his current commitments to UCF. There’s nothing to read into about Osborne’s visit.
  3. This whole thread belongs in Rumorville. Seriously . Remember when you were little and some dumb, brat kid would say to you, “ I know something you don’t know and it’s really good and I’m not telling!” Yeah— that’s some of the posters on this board. Or “some of us are closer to the process and most of you here just wouldn’t understand...” To that - I say wtf -ever. Nobody here predicted that Eichorst would be hired , nobody predicted Pelini getting fired before it was announced, nobody predicted Riley’s hiring, nobody predicted Eichorst getting fired, nobody here predicted Moos.. Nobody here knows with certainty that Frost is coming. There is no psychic friends network on Huskerboard. Seriously move this thing to Rumorville.
  4. I don’t think it would be gloating if you consistently reminded people who the premier program is in the state of Iowa. And maybe also refer to that program as The Iowa State University.
  5. I agree that Saban, Harbaugh and Meyer wouldn’t come here, but mainly because of the point that they’re at in their careers and being happy with where they’re at. The bolded part- I disagree. I think the Nebraska coaching job presents a great opportunity to win a national championship. With the ideal pieces in place, we are in a very winnable division. That puts us in position to play for the B1G championship often. Most years, the winner of the B1G would be in a position to make the 4 team playoff .
  6. He was a good change up running back tonight. He has some impressive moves.
  7. Some folks have made up their minds on Riley and staff already, and I'm about 90% ready to lose hope with him. Final straw is this game. Here's a game where Nebraska should come out fired up and ready to rip faces off, ready to score at will on Purdue and show that there is some rabid fight in this team, ready to play with a chip on their shoulders to show anybody who dare say that they're an underdog to lowly Purdue, who the real Cornhuskers are ! We have the players, the talent and the motivation to do it. So if we come out flat , uninspired and all droopy dog looking like Coach Riley has looked for the last few weeks on the sidelines and lose this very winnable game --then that's it . Case closed. No hope and the season is officially over in my mind.
  8. No kidding. I've told my wife -- forget pushing the kids to go to medical or law school, let's get them into coaching!
  9. Beat all but Penn St. Finish regular season at 7-5 -- exactly what many predicted.
  10. Calibraska didn't start with Coach Riley and it certainly won't end if he goes. Read this : https://hailvarsity.com/s/1624/nebraskas-all-time-all-california-team Going all the way back to 1973-current, 30 of NU's recruiting classes have had two or more Californians. The '05 class had 9! Steve Taylor, Taylor Martinez, Lawrence Phillips, Ralph Brown, Brendan Stai, Quincy Enunwa, Roy Helu -- there are several standouts! Gebbia's dad has a right to be upset if Riley goes -- don't blame him one bit. But Coach 7 on 7 -- whatever -- doesn't sound like he's pushing Nebraska anyways, just Coach Williams.
  11. Best defense in America -- is that with all 16 Blackshirts on the field at the same time ? If there are 16 Blackshirts, do we truly have 11 ? Diaco.. what a car salesman.
  12. Some say Moos was brought in to do one thing. Makes sense because why else would Eichorst be fired. But ... Moos seems like a guy who would want to really evaluate the situation himself and with all of the young players (only 5 of the 22 starters are seniors), he may opt to give Riley more time. This is what my gut tells me. Frost seems to have integrity. He believes in the potential of UCF and he's made a commitment to the school and his players. I don't think that he'll walk away from that. Just as Osborne was faced with the opportunity to go to Colorado, he stayed because of the commitments he felt were made to his current players and their families. Frost is honorable like that. NU may be in his future, but I think he'll stay at UCF for a few more seasons.
  13. Chip Kelly is to 2017-18 head coach openings as Jon Gruden was to 2010-11 head coach openings.
  14. Oh my gosh, all the data points to Scott Frost. Does he know this yet? He is the chosen one.
  15. I was at that game, there was a big rainbow over the stadium afterwards... I remember how it just didn't feel right to see Oklahoma struggle so much . Yep.. here we are now .
  16. What surprised me -- as the second half continued and the number of Buckeye players with hardly any litte buckeye stickers on their helmets came in to play and still, Nebraska had trouble putting the ball in the endzone and kept OSU's punter from even getting on the field !
  17. Exactly. Tonight didnt hurt. It went exactly as predicted. Tonight was the least hyped Ive ever been for a Husker game.
  18. Some people here are so full of it and just so desperate to play the "you heard it here first guy". Funny how Barfknecht and others in the real media have reported some of their hearsay and then some people here on HB jump on it and repeat the same news, but adding "my buddy who knows some media guy" or "bank on it, a source with close ties told me...." Your *guess* is as good as mine.
  19. Coach Riley will not be fired before a new AD is in place.
  20. Never lose to Purdue, Minnesota, Indiana, Illinois, Rutgers, Northwestern or Maryland. Over a decade, win at least 70% of the time over Iowa, Michigan St and Wisconsin. Over a decade, win 50% of the time over Ohio St., Michigan and Penn St.
