I want to say best of luck to Ron Brown. I think there was such a toxic environment surrounding the football team that everybody had to go. I think that's why we saw this extend all the way to the support staff. Ron Brown did great things during his time here helping shape young men's lives but I'm sure there are other coaches that can do the exact same thing.

I think the idea was cool. It was hard to watch the game cause they had to keep showing the coaches faces. It would have been better if they just talked over the play-by play on a full screen.

So Riley has his first press conference in a month and all we worry about is that he hasn't talked to T.O. What kind of pearls of wisdom does a 61 yr old coach need? He seems to have a grasp on what he needs to do.

Bo yelled because he was insecure. He wasn't coaching or teaching anyone. He was spitting and spewing cuss words even at his assistant coaches from start to finish of each game.

Harbaugh probably coaches a few years and then returns to the NFL. He was never coming here because of his Michigan ties. Based on the last 10 or so years Nebraska is not a destination job anymore regardless of whatever husker fans believe. Does that mean Riley's a bad choice, who the hell knows?

It's really hard to know how injured he was this year. IMO he seemed to take plays off from time to time and Benning basically said the same thing on Monday morning. He needs to play a Lawrence Taylor like position cause he's too small to play on the line in the NFL. I think he would have made a helluva linebacker at NU.

I think Riley will do okay if he understands the Big 10 is not a passing league. There's too many November games where you have to line up and be able to run the ball at people to win. Osborne knew that, Callahan didn't and and Bo who in his first press conference said we were going to run the ball and force our will on people never hired the right assistants to make Nebraska an elite program again. We have to give Riley a chance to put a staff in place and we will see firsthand how he coaches in the fishbowl we call Nebraska.

What's better is the scholar in the broadcast booth kept calling the 16 yd line the 14 yd line which was wrong to begin with. Sure miss big 12 officiating......

I'm not surprised at the negative comments. The state was about 50/50 on whether Bo should have been canned. So forgive us for not blindly following Eichorst and Perlman down an unknown path. Come football season, I'm sure there will be much excitement when the new staff gets in place and practice resumes. Now it's like football has fallen off the map at NU. The years teams that we cheered pretty dam hard for is preparing for a bowl game and all we get are approved messages crafted from the administration regarding bowl prep.

Thats a pretty disappointing quote. He met the players for 10 minutes. That's hardly time to really get to know him.

Why does everyone keep going out of their way to tell us Riley is a nice guy and he is nice to the media. He's been coaching for 14 yrs at a school with no expectations. The fishbowl gets mighty small in this state.

I find it stupid to read tweets from 18-22 yr olds and then try to interpret them. What a waste of time.

So we can a coach who in 7 yrs. at NU had no serious NCAA violations and we're ready to embrace a guy that lied and forced a university to vacate all their wins for an entire season because he had no control over his football program. I think we've lost what little sense we had left.

Don't forget a lot of people picked Iowa to win the west in the preseason.

What people fail to realize this is a team game. The past month the offense has not kept up their side of the bargain. When is the last time NU went on a 14 play 80 yard drive? I can't remember either cause Beck is too much of an ass to give it a try. Maybe our defense is bad, but they have been on the field way too much particularly in the second half of games. What did our offense do at Wisconsin other than turn the ball over 4 times in a row. How many 3 and outs against Minnesota were there? I don't care what kind of defense you have when they are on the field 35 minutes with big dudes leaning on them, don't expect them to make a stop on 3 down and 3 yds to go. I remember a game not that many years ago against Missouri in Lincoln. What was the key to that win? Long drives in the 4th quarter almost exclusively on the ground. We're getting beat at what once was our game and Beck is not smart enough to understand how simple the game can be. How many times this year has our defense just made a stop and our offense comes out and throws 3 incomplete passes and about 40 seconds run off the clock? That barely gives our defensive guys a chance to catch their breath. I imagine Beck is glad he is hiding in the press-box. He should have his butt on the sideline talking to his QB instead of Joe Ganz.

I don't know....We have defensive players running into each other on several occasions can anyone play smart? I'm willing to bet we have more talent on defense than Wisky and yet they defended us better than any team of white guys I've ever seen. Spielman called it playing smart. I feel like we spent the entire two weeks practicing snaps to the QB cause we got that fixed.... Hate to know what the score would be without Wisconsin fumbles

Wisky 27 NU 17 I really think the only thing that can stop NU's offense is itself. They've done that a lot this year. Rushing-137 Passing - 200 with 2 picks

Minnesota looks scary. I could see them coming in here and rushing for 200 yards and really shortening the game.

So at this point our defense is getting better, but our offense is getting worse.
