It is unfortunately becoming more and more likely. I worry about next week against OSU. It feels a lot like 10 years ago when another OSU came to town.

NDSU represents everything that is evil in this world.

The academic resources and support alone make big B1G worth never leaving.

In all honesty I would like to hear why people think he should be fired. I thought the line played pretty well considering that Oregon knew we were going to pass pretty much the entire second half.

I think they are going to be just fine. 9-3. We upset someone we shouldn't, we lose one we shouldn't, and we get beat by Oregon and Ohio State.

This is kind of an unfair statement. Sometimes they played badly for all four quarters. Relax people! We will find out how we Riley is going to do soon. If he does great awesome! If not, we will hire a new coach! Enjoy the ride!

FCS is garbage. I'm sorry. I've been to many games up here in Fargo. Yes, NDSU is a quality football team, but the overall level of competition is not good. Every year there are a handful of very good FCS teams. These are the ones trumpeted by the "we're division 1, not 1-AA" crowd. But in terms of overall quality, it is NOT the same.

I'm sorry but of course Bo is doing well at the FCS level. IT'S THE FCS LEVEL!!! We justifyably ran Bohl out of town in 2002 and he created a dynasty in Fargo. We justifyably ran Bo out of town and he is having success at Youngstown. Yes, there are some good 1-AA teams. The the VAST majority are hot steaming dumpster fires that would lose to Nebraska high school teams. There is no depth in at this level, so getting to the playoffs is not a big deal. FCS is a joke. Don't make it more than it is. It is JV football.

Just putting it out there, NO quarterback can develop without decent offensive line play. Langs could develop a QB all he wants. But if he running for his life and constantly getting hit, it won't matter.

I will not get into a topicality debate with you. I agree that more big games would be fun for the fans, but I do not think that one marquee matchup philosophy is bad. The SQ is just fine, and is generally accepted across P5 conferences. With how far out you have to schedule... You have no idea how the B1G will schedule us. Two marquees with a Wisconsin-esque schedule essentially eliminates you from the playoff conversation before it begins. You have no idea how good teams will be. S. Alabama and Southern Miss from last year, not needle pushers. This year, they have already upset SEC teams.

Football games need to happen soon. The natives are restless.

Here is my temp check. I want them to win every game, and I get bummed out when they lose. I will be happy to follow the team on boards like this when they win, and will avoid this board like the plague for a couple days when they lose. Every spring and summer I talk myself into the idea that "this could be the year." Most times, especially recently, I am wrong. With Riley we will win one we didn't think we could...and probably will lose one we didn't think we would. I don't understand why some fans try to prove that they are smarter/better fans by predicting doom and gloom. 7-5???? Come on man! You are a fan! You should want/believe that your team will win every game. Living in Fargo I will get VERY angry if Iowa doesn't crush NDSU. Please baby Jesus don't make me listen to Bison fans!

Yes, that they do. And they used to have one of the greatest rivalries, if not THE greatest, in college football. That's what drove me to ask my original question. That and the last-second Hail Mary win against Northwestern in 2013How exciting would it be to watch Nebraska defeat Oklahoma on a last-second Hail Mary? Sure. It would've been cool...but I'm not sure what you want here. How cool would it have been if the Hail Mary happened against OU while playing in the old Orange Bowl in half gravity because we relocated it to the moon?

I'm not sure that this means an end to the 11:00 am games like people hope. From what I have read, this seems like a continuation of our current package...just with a bump in payout. No one wants to lose, and the "determined to be .500" stuff is discussed in enough posts. Out of the practice I was impressed with: 1) Armstrong 2) Barry 3) God I hope offensive line?!?! Defense line seemed to get man handled. Even the 1st team d-line didn't get the push or penetration I would have liked to see. That said, could be the result of good o-line play. Just have to wait until the fall!

Favorite off-season thread thus far! As an alum, I don't mind it. But I don't really know why anyone uses it. I haven't seen it on any university materials or anything. It just seems like we are talking about an abbreviation a few fans use on a message board.
